Hey guys, im the Developer of MelonWars:RTS, and i would like to set this straight. This addon, WarMelons: Singularity, has actually been around for longer than my addon. It's not a copy of mine at all. We are both trying to remake a really old addon called Warmelons:RTS, which died with the release of Gmod 13, so in any case, we are both working from that addon, not each other. I wish Ludsoe all the luck in the world for whatever he's planning. I think our addons have evolved in two different directions anyway, so there's room for both of them.

First off, This is the ORIGINAL War Melons, but was somewhat..Not being updated.
As alot liked it, another person made a remastered version of this addon.
So, this addon is not a copy of the remastered. So do not claim that this is "Copied" This is the original. So, do not whine and shite like @lilnin 's comment.

This was the First Warmelons made on gmod 13, look at both of there dates. Its warmelon RTS that is copyrighting

anyway competition create innovations. as long as he didnt actually steal code, a spin off can usually be a good thing,

Any plans to change the effects to vary between the types of melons like the original mod (ex: pistol sounds and muzzle flashes for one of the lighter units instead of lasers)? That would be great.

Would you happen to have ai enabled on your team? The ai tends to maintain atleast 3 miners.

Im unsure whats causing that, as the mod works 100% fine on my end. Perhaps you have something thats interfering with it.

It's not working anyway. I have the same problem as before. My melons spawn with 0/0 health, barracks don't train anything, nothing seems to be working. :/

I'm getting the "lua/singularity/core/engine/sh_networking.lua:13: attempt to serialize structure with cyclic reference" too. It's related to the newest update that came yesterday. They "fixed cyclic reference detection in util.TableToJSON". I asked in the forums and someone said that this problem happens because "the code is trying to call util.TableToJSON on a table that contains itself". I hope that helps you to fix it somehow.

I have now found that lift melons do break the mod and the melons will no longer move after a lift melon has been spwaned.

The mod only broke when a certaint amount of melons or something was spawned... I was playing with 3 other friends.

An issue ive experianced is structures having 0/0 hp. Ive only encountered this once after switching teams

You can set teams to be ran by a ai, but they dont build structures only control existing ones. As for multiple tools, maybe that can be a thing. Ill look into it once I figure out the issue with a large amount of people reporting the addon not working properly.

I would love to see AI players added, Is the AI node and generator just groundwork for them? Also I think it would be more user friendly if the menu was split up into multiple tools.

I have a update in the works, but it involves rewriting bits to work with newer versions of the API core I designed. Which is both time consuming and not appealing to work on.(But I will release it)

It may not be what you guys want to hear but atleast its something I suppose.

There will be some UI improvements and bugfixes so look forward to that.
