@Axios2002 thank you very much for this info! It's nice to have information about necromancy and both its conflicts and intersections with Chaos worship so succinctly laid out for those curious. Cheers!

I don´t know if you´ve familiarized yourself more with the lore since making this mod, but in case you haven´t or anyone else is curious:

The reason why necromancers siding with Chaos is so rare is that, in Warhammer Fantasy, undeath is anathema to Chaos, by being in between life and death, beings of magic with physical forms, the undead are extremely resistant to chaotic corruption and can face off against daemons with ease.

Chaos gods and daemons, as a rule, would rather kill necromancers and vampires rather than attempt to recruit them,

But there have been instances, Kemmler in early lore struck a deal with a nurgle daemon to get his connection to the winds of magic back and in the End Times sided with Chaos, a group of Blood Knights also became Khorne worshippers.

And not ALL Norsca are Chaos Worshippers, some minor tribes turning to necromancy to get an edge in surviving the unforgiving lands of the north would be perfectly lore friendly.

@KarlFooknTanner thank you very much for saying that! My goal w/ this mod was to give Norsca a unit that suited its faction identity but also felt meaningfully different from units fielded by other Chaos-aligned factions. If I had the skill and time I would try and expand on this (for instance, giving Norsca access to additional lores of magic such as Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Tempest, maybe Deep, etc and providing it some more distinctive units with occult or steppe influence), though there are other great mods which have taken on these tasks already. I haven't given much thought to the idea of doing a "Aspiring Champions" style unit for the Vampire Counts; it's a cool idea but I'm not an especially quick modder. I would highly recommend the Dead of the Orient and the Champions of Undeath as they offer Vampire Counts access to cool units which fill niches quite like that. Anyhow thank you again for your comment and all the best to you.

Hello mod author,

These are beautifully made high quality units. As they are undead warriors, is there any chance that the Vampire Counts could receive them as well, or a similar version of them?

Thank you for your mods.

@Decomposed Oh gosh, thank you--that's very kind of you to say and it means a lot given your own skill!

@EzUNreal I have actually never played Skyrim. They should really remaster it and re-release it, I don't know why they've never ever done that yet

@rex999 thank you--it's very kind of you to say so! At some point I do intend to make a Weird Norsca compilation, but that wouldn't be for a long time yet as I'd like to finish them all first. I still hope to release a generic lord, the Eminent Reaver, as well as a kurganesque Steppe Raiders unit much like what you've you described, but both these concepts add more complexity to the modding process (mounts, skill trees, and so on), so I suspect they wouldn't be out for a long time yet. When I release those I'll take care to ensure the units don't step on the toes of other comparable mods (IIRC there are some big mods in development for Kurgan and Hung units). That said I very much appreciate your words of encouragement.

hey, I love your norsca unit mods, do you think you could put them all into one compilation? if not that's ok, do you have any other units you want to make, like personally, I would love to see a mid or high tier spear unit or a kurgan like cav unit, keep up the good work either way :)
