pretty cool

Hey! I found more cut content! In the Paradigm Shift Training Course, there are remnants of what appears to be an older version of the Tricked Out Rick boss fight! Please make a video on the cut content of Good of the Company 2021 and Paradigm Shift!

Me too

I saw! All Alone deserved to win, that campaign was epic! I hope he continues it.

I made a video playing the competition maps if you didn't know!

Next up, we see Austin Howard, which most likely isn't the Amalgam, because we see him later on in the incident, and he looks nothing like the Amalgam, so he probably isn't him. The next on the list is Q. Cunningham, a character we know nothing about, except that he is the Head of Internal Affairs at the Central Complex, and that he might be related to Officer Cunningham from the level 'Terminal Force', but that's a theory for another day. And lastly we have Joshua Baynes, from The Rebellion, which we see dead in The Rebellion, after he committed suicide, which is most likely why he wasn't at the party. There's also a scientist and a laborer at the party, and thanks to some cut or unfinished dialogue, we know that the scientist's name is Dr. Bryson! This all leads to Q. Cunningham being the only person on the invitee list possible of being the one with that memory!
Odjntrade 26 Jan @ 10:06am
Another Theory! We know who the memory in Amalgam belongs to! It belongs to none other than Q. Cunningham! Because with simple deduction, we can figure out it is his memory. Let go top to bottom and explain. First on the list is Maurice Gussy, who we see directly. Second on the list is Giles Ross, who we see standing next to his brother. Hercules Gussy is the next on the list, and judging by the fact he is not dead in later levels of the campaign, it is not him. Next is Andre Golgi, and we see him there. We also see B. Vernon on the list, and he isn't here, but the wiki says that he evacuated the facility when the Defcorp Incident began, so it can't be him either. H. Monk is also on this list, but he can't be the Amalgam because we see him near the end of the Defcorp Incident, during the level Security in GOTC 2021.

Typo corrected:
I'm still curious who won the competition. I don't know if you sent out a video (mostly because steam has issue with me on videos) or a private discussion.

Okay!
Tomebinder  [author] 6 Jan @ 7:00pm
Oh, got it. I'll upload it!

I love your idea for the updated version of GOTC 2021.

I'll have to look more into those levels to talk about the cut content. Maybe in a video.
Odjntrade 6 Jan @ 6:52pm
By the way I meant the 2021 Secret Room.
Odjntrade 6 Jan @ 6:22pm
I also believe I found some CUT CONTENT in Good of the Company 2021, while digging around and updating. I found a version of Karl with longer hair. A unit that appears to be a Desert Mammoth WH40K unit from back in the day, leading me to believe he was a placeholder for Howard, so he might have been in Engagement at one point. Also, there is a floating door in Research that might have been a background detail you deleted. And finally, there is a W.I.P sign and a floating silo roof in Transgression, leading me to believe that you once planned to have extra silos there. I found these all out of bounds. Could you confirm any of these, or maybe provide an explanation for why these exist, and please tell me more about the cut content and development of Good of the Company 2021! Goodbye!
Odjntrade 6 Jan @ 6:16pm
So I can update it for the update! By the way, the structure on that is going to be with two different versions: Classic, a fixed and updated version of the original, fixes sun leaking, adds the ability to see into other levels, etc. And then you have Remastered, which uses the Classic preset as a base, and then adds more particles, mood-enhancing fog, muzzle flashes, you get it. It will also add Paradigm Shift gameplay! new noises, impacts, and all the other things added will now be in the original! What do you think?
Tomebinder  [author] 4 Jan @ 9:56pm
That one's secret for a reason! Why do you want it?
Odjntrade 2 Jan @ 11:54am
Tomebinder, could you post the Secret Room level? Thanks.
Tomebinder  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 9:00am
Good to know, I'll let you know if and when I need help in that regard!
Odjntrade 22 Dec, 2024 @ 12:58pm
Also I accidentally forgot to mention that the being I think is The Founder, is the thing you talk to after you kill the ERF dog thing. Just thought that might have been confusing.
Odjntrade 22 Dec, 2024 @ 12:54pm
Thank You Tomebinder! Also, I'm very interested in joining the Good of the Company 2 team! I'm good at creating detailed levels, but I have no idea about how to script or much about balance. So I could be a level designer for the project!

@RagingUlf0222

You know what, I'll announce the competition results soon. In a week, max.

And I'll upload the main menu tomorrow if you still need it!

@Ojntrade

I am blown away by your theories! Can't confirm or deny anything, but you've definitely picked up on things no one else has.

If you complete a remaster for GOTC 2021, I'd be more than willing to play and/or edit it myself. And, if it is that good, I'd be open to releasing it as a remastered version if that's you want! I agree that GOTC2021 could use some patches to be more approachable in the 2024/25 era of AW3.

Btw, GOTC 2, which will be a sequel (taking place after the DefCorp Incident), is still in early development with a crack team of experienced AW3 map and script makers! I'll post updates when they become available, but I do have to deal with college and life matters too!

Thanks for your continued interest. It was great reading your comments :-)
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 9:02pm
Also, I'm working on a fan-update for Good of the Company 2021, that hopes to fix bugs, add new settings, and just generally make Good of the Company 2021 more aproachable in 2024. Would you be okay with that? If so, could you make it an official patch for the game? Thanks, sincerely, Odjntrade.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:23pm
Also, Tomebinder previously stated that the Defcorp Incident only took a few hours in all.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:17pm
So the timeline would go something like this:

Early 1900s (1900-1949): Defcorp is founded.

19XX: The Founder makes his sacrifice for Defcorp, which will forever be remembered by the company.

1955-1991: Defcorp buys out/is provided with a complex for weapons manufacturing in West Germany.

Post-1991: A military base in the United States is shut down due to the Soviet Union having collapsed and United States winning the Cold War.

2001-2004: The United States provides Defcorp with a complex in the Continental United States to manufacture weapons for the War on Terror.

2007-2009: The Defcorp Incident occurs. An interdimensional invasion of the American Defcorp Complex begins.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:17pm
And what he says to David is something like passing down the torch to David, and so David will become the servant of Noble Hart, while The Founder gets to die in peace. But after Noble Hart dies, David starts becoming a Noble Hart, similar to the final boss of the game. So Noble Hart was trying to terraform Earth, and he started making 'clones' of himself on Earth, as he sensed that his end was near. And David was one of those chosen to become a clone, since he was already going to be the servant. But in the end of Paradigm Shift, it seems that they need some of Karl Dyson's blood to treat David, just like Karl did with that one corrupted ERF soldier.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:17pm
The third theory I've had is that, the corrupted being that talks to you after you kill the corrupted ERF soldier that runs like a dog in Paradigm Shift, is The Founder. This must sound crazy, but I believe the sacrifice that the founder made for Defcorp, was something like him becoming a corrupted servant of Noble Hart, in exchange for the company, or maybe even the world.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:16pm
A second theory of mine is that Defcorp has existed for a long time, perhaps since World War II or even World War I, because of it seeming like 'The Founder', along with all three of his arms, made their sacrifice for company a long time ago, so long ago that the only mention of it in-universe is the statue of him with his third arm saying, "Remember the founder, remember his sacrifice.). I believe that the reason for this is that his sacrifice happened a long time ago, or perhaps not at all, just being a company lie to keep people working hard.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:16pm
But, since Defcorp is a weapons manufactorer that supplies many countries globally, they most likely were supplied more advanced technology earlier, due to their importance to many countries. Which leads me to the late 2000s (2007-2009) being the most probable dates for the Defcorp Incident to have taken place. Also, to explain the CRT monitors around the complex, it is possible, (and I believe mentioned in GOTC before, but I can't remember) that the facility used to be an old, military base from the 80s or 90s that got shut down when the Cold War ended, or potential just owned by tech company that went bankrupt when the .com bubble burst, and that the facility is dependent on some of these older systems, which just haven't been replaced yet.
Odjntrade 20 Dec, 2024 @ 12:16pm
After looking at the technology present in both GOTC's, I have deduced which years GOTC could take place. Since the earliest model of the smartphone in America was released in the mid 2000s (2004-2006), and the earliest model of the slim laptop was released in 2007. This leads me to believe that the Defcorp Event could have happened between the years of 2007 and the present. I think this because the kind of smart phone present in GOTC is the kind released in the late 2000s. To further pinpoint it, I figured out that the slim laptop grew in popularity and became more avaliable in the 2010s.

I have made three theories about Good of the Company!

Hello. I am asking if you could upload your main menu level from this campaign. It would be super helpful, for I am working on a campaign somewhat like yours. The main menu screen is troublesome.
