Thank you for maintaining this and for the update info. I use this mod exclusively to grow back noses that have been shot off, because I don't have Royalty and I think everyone deserves a nose. So I hope everyone's nose stays safe until the update :D

@All, I'm a bit behind on my mod updates, 1.6 is planned and in the works, but may take some time to get everything fully tested and rolled out. Unicorns and rainbows, probably looking at the end of the weekend. Worst case, the end of the month (I'm notoriously bad at estimating theses sorts of things, so take that with some salt).
For Scar Removal I'd like to dig more into the reports of the bill not showing up, otherwise it should just be a simple recompile/ version update.

@Rea, uhh, the type of medicine is technically changeable by editing the mod's files (or more ideally an xpath patch mod), but at the moment there isn't a mod setting (it's only ever been hard coded to use glitter world medicine).

I'm not opposed to adding a setting if there's a general consensus that the mod needs it, but I've always felt that glitter worlds meds were a fair price for scar removal (especially since many vanilla mechanisms for scar removal have a similar price).

cause i want to remove some scar from my slave cause they can't stop complaining about scarf on their chests and it's bloody enervous
where can i change that scar can be remove with medicinal herb ? or m,edicine ?
you shold add the possibility to edit in the mod option

@Tifir, I've seen that issue mentioned once or twice, but have yet to get an actionable bug report/ reproduction steps, so that I can pin down a root cause an fix the issue. Even an (ideally, minimally modded) save with a note on which colonist to look at would help a bunch...

If anybody is having issues with the regrow options not appearing in the operation bill list, apparently the option to regrow doesn't appear unless the colonist is fully healed (Or perhaps, a part associated with the scar/missing part is healed, such as the hand for fingers or the head for the nose.)

I thought it was maybe a mod incompatibility, but once my character (with a damaged head and a missing nose) fully healed, the option to regrow was present regardless of the mutations I had on him.

@RedstoneRevolution, uhh... like many things, it's theoretically possible with enough coding hackery, but mucking with the game's logic for picking stuff up is a bit more than I'd like to take on at the moment. Looks like it is a feature of Uuugggg's Smart Medicine though.

@lucky_one, well that was easy, turns out that functionality is already built into the mod and I just forgot it was there. Just enable it in the mod settings.

@Alias Ah, that's the issue. They are not allowed to use glitterworld medicine currently. Is there a way to let the mod work while still keeping it so patients can't normally use glitterworld medicine? I don't want to blow through my small amount of GW meds every time there's a raid or someone stubs their toe.

@RedstoneRevolution, that's not an issue that I'm aware of. As a shot in the dark, is your patient allowed to use glitter world meds? Are the meds within your surgeon's allowed area/ zone? Otherwise feel free to drop me a bug report (above)

I'm currently having an issue with the operation never starting because I'm "missing" glitterworld medicine, but I actually have a bunch in my storage. Is this a known issue?

@lucky_one, If I remember correctly, Cyber ​​Fauna used to have a similar feature to what you're asking for. That said, I don't see any reason why this mod couldn't also work on animals. I'm still juggling projects, but let me see what I can do.

@xKamikaze3x,(before anything else, thank you for giving me something tangible to work off of) Huh, wonder if the mod isn't playing nicely with HAR, that might explain some things... I don't really have a whole lot of time to devote to modding at the moment, so I can't promise any hard plans or immediate fixes, but I will make a note of the issue [github.com] and add it to my backlog of things to take a looks at when I find time again

It seems to work fine on like regular humans, but i play with mantodean race and it doesn't seem to work with them at all, even if it's like a neck scar, tested it, didn't get no errors tho, any plans to making it compatible with that race/mod?

@Pablo Discobar, well that's certainly... odd. To my knowledge the mod works in isolation, but the fact that more than one of y'all have mentioned it makes me think that it may be a slight mod conflict. If you manage to pin down a way for me to reproduce the issue, please let me know, so that I can fix it.

I will post the log probably in a few hours, but the only mod that comes to my mind that could be conflicting is CE (I have played with most of the mods in a few runs before) since is the only new thing I have added. Thanks for the quick answer. :er_heart:

@lucky_one, noses should have an option for regrowth. Since you're not the only one to have mentioned it, I'm going to guess it's probably a bug or weird mod interaction. Since I can't reproduce the issue, I'm going to need a bug report (see faq).

For some reason the option to regrow the nose isnt there anymore, but I can cure scars. Is it there any req I need to have in order to regrow it? I have used this mod before and the option has always been there so I'm not sure what's happening

@Duncan, Mmm shouldn't matter how the appendage got removed as marked as it's marked as a missing body part. I just whipped up a test (use dev mode to apply infection to left thumb, add missing part hedif to right thumb, preform amputation of left thumb) and everything works nominally (both parts show up for regrowth). It could be a bug or a weird mod interaction, can you please open a bug report (ideally with reproduction steps and what mods you're running)?

for regrowing fingers toes, is it supposed to matter whether the limbs were destroyed vs cut off? seems like I can only regrow them if they were destroyed. doing more testing right now.
