Applying the rig to this conflicts with some existing bone names. And I've now found that those conflicting bones have a nested problem - one of the problem controls in this model is the Scope. If I apply the rig, it doesn't make a Scope bodygroup control, but does take away the ability to swap it out using the menu.
If a bodygroup shares a name with a control, the bodygroup's control isn't made. (Tested with a character with a glasses bodygroup, and bone for said glasses)
If control groups are re-evaluated for any reason (like baking procedural bones) then the controls are re-evaluated and normally put into the Unknown category.
Could the script add a prefix to the control names? That would fix issue one and allow people to add things to their SFM_DAG files for the second one.
