dousnt work, tf2 trying autobalance teams and we cant do damage

(The comment below asks why bots don't work)
Here's the main reasons why bots currently don't work.
• Bots "don't know" that they are supposed to collect guns by walking over weapon spawners.
• Bots won't shoot their teammates, and since you can't have 23 teams, some of the players are technically your teammates with friendly fire enabled.
• Bots are constantly trying to switch weapons because DeathMatch deviates from TF2's standard primary-secondary-melee formula.
All 3 can be fixed in principle, which I hope to do in the first half of the upcoming year.

An update has dropped!

- Added the Chaingun.
- Reduced Rocket Launcher's splash radius (146 -> 109.5) for Open Fortress parity.
- Fixed an FPS issue related to the Merc's cosmetics and the third-person weapon model.
- Fixed Previous Weapon bind not working correctly.
- Fixed dropped super weapons having max ammo, as opposed to the ammo left.
- Fixed GIB bomblets sometimes exploding the owner upon the main projectile's impact.
- Fixed being able to switch off of GIB during its attack charge.
- Fixed the Assault Rifle "feeling laggy" on high ping.
- Fixed the Assault Rifle and the Pistol Akimbo not having unique third person animations.
- Code improvements and optimization.

An update has dropped!

- Added outlines to weapon pickups you don't currently possess.
- Improved Weapon UI performance.
- Fixed botkillers in your face.
- Fixed pickups not respecting the assigned bounding box.
- Fixed inactive (picked up) pickups blocking certain attack types (namely melee hits).
- Fixed dropped weapons not providing the weapon sometimes.
- Fixed a bug when not having reserve ammo for certain weapons caused the Railgun to become unselectable.
- Now using Soldier as the base class so that the taunt animations will match the length.
- Code improvements, optimizations and safeguards.

Open Fortress parity improvements:
- Enemy HP is no longer visible.
- Added the visual countdown indicator for Super Weapons.
- Players drop small ammo pack on death.
- Added the weapon spawner plate prop from OF.
- Super Shotgun now gibs the opponents upon dealing more than 150 damage in 1 shot.

Honestly, I would write my opinion on other maps and modes, but then it would be some kind of spam!

Please tell me why the "savetf2" campaign is needed, why other updates are needed, why deal with bots and bugs - you can leave everything as it is. Even write to Valve so that they don’t touch anything in the TF and don’t even add headers. If my words above bother you, it means you want something new to appear in TF2! This is a mode about the confrontation between mercenaries - the plot does not contradict TF2, the gameplay, yes, it differs from the concept of team against team, but at the same time the whole basis is taken from TF2. +new guns.

I remember when Saxton was added in the summer of 23 - it was Hype, so many crazy videos, I myself played this mode for a long time, but this mode did not throw out other modes, we all continue to play them every year, why can’t we get that - something new? The zombie mode was also fun and appealed to many. At that moment, it seemed to me personally that TF2 had finally woken up or gotten up from its chair... then there was a scandal with one mode on New Year’s Day and it was not added.

In December, a guy in the Workshop tried to propose the concept of “Arcade mode”, that it was in the main menu and modes from the community could be added there, but even there people came out against it - although this is the real golden mean of solving the issue, but again..

Such modes attract new players and bring back old ones -> increases online play -> opening cases increases -> valve everyone sees this and perhaps begins to watch their creation a little more!

And now I’ll tell you the most offensive thing about all of this - for many years we have been accusing valve of not having GOOD updates from them, and now when the community has a chance to at least BRING something new and interesting (NOT REPLACE), another part has appeared a community that doesn’t fucking need all these updates.

I’m in favor of adding this mode, I’m not going to download anything extra. This mode has every right to be in the game on the basis of which it is made and is a plot-wise branch of TF2

An update has dropped!

- Minor changes to the map itself.
- The Weapon Panel is now made out of proper images instead of being a list of text!
-- And each weapon on the weapon panel has the ammo counter!
- Greatly optimized pickups (weapon spawners, tiny pills, etc).
- Fixed the bug that caused audio to get muted over time and the MAX_CHANNEL error.
- Fixed bugs related to the Quad Launcher reloading sequence.
- Fixed gibs not working.
- Fixed ammo-related bugs.
- Improvements to the spawn picking algorithm.
- Other fixes and optimizations.

Open Fortress parity improvements:
- The currently held weapon is now dropped upon death for someone else to pick up.
-- Super Weapons always drop regardless if were held.
- Grenade Launcher grenades now immediately explode if they hit something within 0.1, allowing for the grenade jump.
- Grenade Launcher grenade rollers now explode upon contact with a player.
- Railgun can now headshot without scoping in.

God dammit, there so many complaints and argues that it hard to understand who's against it and who's wants this maps. JUST LET IT BE ON COMMUNITY SERVERS AND CHILL OUT! This is great mode and it would be nice to spice up your experience after ten hours on Dustbowl or something.
If you want to whine about "It's a different game" and "It's not team-based" so go ahead and bombard also maps for Trade, Slender Fortress, MGE, Surf, Deathrun, Jump, Jailbreak, Ultiduo and other projects that don't rely entirely on big teams' fighting and exists for much longer in Workshop than VScript modes and only difference between them is that you don't need plugins and negotiated rules to play in last ones - all is build-in.

If Lizard & the Open Fortress team want to bring TDM over as well... the more, the merrier. More context for the nearly 20-year-old game that devs have given up, please. Deadlock almost assure this but got people trying gatekeep in the stupidest ways.

Wait it can't be. NO TEAMS, but how can they? IT TF2. NO team in Team Fortress...2. It's improbable, NO, the game is ruined. WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?! "Cue the waterworks"

Little man, you are still playing under the Source Engine and with TF2 inspired weapons, models, maps etc. This serves as an addition, not a replacement nor a takeover of any kind. Open Fortress was developed from a based of TF2, with the forethought to bring arena shooter gameplay specific under the TF2 umbrella with elements from TF2. No teams, ok. No one is stopping you from queuing up standard team matches


And so what if the gamemode dies within 5 weeks? Explain in detail how this rips away anything in the game known as Team Fortress 2? @Kicks tell us in word little baby man

That's actually the most stupidest argument I've ever heard.

"TF2 is on the Source Engine, an engine that's a modified Quake engine, therefore custom modes being added officially to the game that strips the Team out of the Team Fortress that makes it Quake again makes so much sense!"

Sure, tear apart Team Fortress 2 of it's identity because your boomer brain refuses to just accept TF2 for it's Team-based class-based objective-based gameplay, you want that ripped away for some gamemode that'll die within' 5 weeks just like VSH did.

@Coz I mean Open Fortress and other source mods appeared trying to show potential of TF2's possible dropped concepts: VIP mode, 4-team Battles, Grenades, Spawn Turrets, Deathmatch (Yes, It was technically in TFC). And now with VScript we just have more comfortable tool to do this without need to install SDKs, suffering with finding install guide(Srsly, what's your problem with putting simple txt file in folder with installer, OF devs?!) and imminent understanding that you just got a TF2mini that maybe the stylish one and unique but not versatile as Big Brother.
This maps are ideological followers of original sourcemod.
