has anyone tried on 1.6 yet?
MadScientist235 25 May @ 10:40am
I noticed that dried manure decomposes almost instantly. Is this intentional or is progressPerDegreePerTick just set too high?

Would it be possible to add 1.4 support to this mod?

I am making a mod list for a 1.4 play through and this would just be perfect to add to it!

New update: Settings

- Can now set a multiplier to increase or reduce manure amount
- Can change the frequency range between when animals produce manure
- Can auto-allow or forbid manure on spawn
- Can allow insects to produce manure
- Can disallow non-colony animals from producing manure

Great Mod Any chance to be able to have manure allowed as a default, or allow in home area?
Thanks

Bro, that mod is SHIT
i LOVE it, thanks for updating it!
velcroboy333  [author] 14 Jan @ 3:20pm
Ok, everyone, I finally got around to updating this mod. Changes I made are

- Animals with body size less than 0.45 do not drop manure any more
- Spawnrate no longer based on filthrate but random between every half a day up to 3 days
- Poo amount has been completely refactored and should produce less overall

yes love it for tribal but the things make way to much of the stuff
Emilie Sackenball 15 Oct, 2024 @ 7:55am
@hraabepex the best for people than do not feel something "balanced" is adding sliders to adjusts such things
hraabepex 22 Sep, 2024 @ 11:27pm
Adding onto Untamo's comment. Great mod, in desperate need of a re-balance. my poor map was so covered in it, and when you use allow tool to unforbid all of it, your pawns just cover the entire map to collect it all, and then get eaten. if possible, maybe make it so that their production rate is relative to body size, doesn't make total sense but would make game balance sense. And would mean the map isn't covered after a month.

Second would be a request. Can you add a patch for medieval overhaul and similar mods. I was hoping to use this as an easy renewable fuel source for fireplaces and such, but between having the same problem as cap'n where it decomposes instantly, and it not being an accepted fuel source for anything, it wasn't exactly useful. love the concept, makes sense and could make for a great source of fuel that's easier than wood. just needs some fine tuning.
Untamo 20 Sep, 2024 @ 9:04am
Really useful mod, but the same problem with a huge amount of dung all over the map:winter2019joyfultearsyul:
Really looking forward to the update. I'll be glad if the updated version will have customization:
- ability to enable/disable manure production by wild animals
- ability to enable/disable manure production by individual animal species (for example, I don't want a domestic cat to generate manure at muffalo level)
- amount of manure / period of manure generation, so that it can be balanced for a specific scenario on its own if needed.
Thanks for your work! Hopefully you'll have time to do this mod soon. Good luck to you!

Haha, I know,I need to get back to the things I've been meaning to adjust with this mod. Life so busy though
kyrambox 5 Sep, 2024 @ 11:25am
Too many manure! The whole map is full of manure! We should have an option to lower it 10 times or so...
Cap'n CuckKnuckles 3 Aug, 2024 @ 3:52pm
having an issue on 1.5 where the dried manure rapidly decomposes (within seconds of drying) Im assuming its an issue any help is appreciated
Uriel Septim VII 7 Jul, 2024 @ 12:50pm
are you planning on making a manure dryer or kiln?
GeneralTso 2 Jul, 2024 @ 1:55pm
appreciate you man. any eta on this? no rush just curious, im not even playing rimworld at the moment just checking in on old comment notifications
velcroboy333  [author] 8 Jun, 2024 @ 6:11pm
Like I said below, plan is to limit frequency. Just need to find some time to do it.
GeneralTso 8 Jun, 2024 @ 4:32pm
probably easiest on the old cpu if you just make them drop less, that way theres fewer things to calculate
velcroboy333  [author] 2 Jun, 2024 @ 11:05am
I will likely balance that better in the next update. Something closer to only spawning manure 3 or less times in a day. Granted, the amount of manure will still be dependent on the same factors. Either way, this will cut down on the amount. I could also speed up the rate of decomp a bit too, if that's part of the accumulation issue.
Plump 1 Jun, 2024 @ 8:41pm
Any way to control the amount of poo animals make? My map after a year had 10,000+ plops scattered around from wild animals. Half the map tiles had manure on them.
velcroboy333  [author] 28 May, 2024 @ 5:20pm
For now I've set manure to spawn unallowed. I will probably set it to be allowed if within a pen or Home Area later when I have more time.
GeneralTso 26 May, 2024 @ 5:52pm
colossalfossil: so i can't find it but i swear i saw one for something like that while browsing last night but i was half asleep so who knows.

also velcroboy, i have to reiterate the sentiment of memetic, i also had to uninstall this mod because i set hauling to 1 priority, so having a configurable toggle for allowing/disallowing poop upon dropping from the animal would be nice, especially if you could include the option to differentiate between wild animals and tame ones. that way my pawns could safely collect our llama and horse poop while by default ignoring all the poop from say the wild carnivorous dinosaurs that plauged my last game. really hoping to see some of these changes so i can use this mod, always thought it was wierd we couldn't collect and burn dung or make fertilizer with it.
GeneralTso 26 May, 2024 @ 5:48pm
there is a mod for custom zone presets hang on a second ill dig for it and link you
ColossalFossil 26 May, 2024 @ 11:39am
Hi there. I also would like to see a config setting to auto-forbid option may be helpful. On Medium-Large or larger maps, it means my pawns want to haul manure 100% of the time. Does anyone know of a mod that has a allow-haul zone? A zone where only unforbidden items inside of the allow-haul zone would be hauled? That could be a work around if something like that exists.
GeneralTso 26 May, 2024 @ 12:56am
can you just make a toggle for it in the mod settings so the user can configure that to their liking? I can't really think of any other elegant solution that wouldn't touch anything else
velcroboy333  [author] 25 May, 2024 @ 5:42pm
I personally found it more annoying to be forbidden. I auto un-forbid everything on the map :captainclown:

But...I can see your point. I could look into making it a lower priority or even separating it out. Let me cook...I'll be back.
Memetic 25 May, 2024 @ 3:23pm
Had to uninstall unfortunately, since the manure isn't forbidden by default and my pawns would sprint across the map at the merest whiff of animal poop to sink their dirty fingers into.
_♣Caligula♣_ 25 May, 2024 @ 7:52am
Oh, that is a quite rare thing :D
Will try out with 1.4 version and see if there are any errors/problems.
velcroboy333  [author] 24 May, 2024 @ 1:27pm
There's a universal patch to allow any fire source that uses wood to also allow using dry manure. This should cover any modded items as well.

If you want to have them specifically burn manure and not wood, you need a mod like Burn It for Fuel (Continued) or LWM's Fuel Filter

I tested this with Dub's Performance analyzer and it didn't even show up on the scale :winter2019coolyul:. The check for animals spawning dung is every 1000 ticks, IE: super low.

If any issues come up, performance or otherwise, let me know.
Trismegistos 24 May, 2024 @ 12:18pm
how do i make sure my pawns use this instead of wood for fuel?
How big is the performance impact from all the drying shit?
Love the idea, lots of folks use manure for fuel in certain areas, at least historically.
velcroboy333  [author] 24 May, 2024 @ 8:59am
@Kyrox, if you have pet bladders on, they will still make filth that needs to be cleaned up and produce manure as well.
velcroboy333  [author] 24 May, 2024 @ 8:59am
@_♣Caligula♣_ , no, :steamhappy:, I actually made this mod back in 1.3 for a friend/personal use. I just recently decided to clean it up and release it because, why not.

It should still work in 1.4. I just didn't compile the assembly for it, or test with it. If I get requests for it, I can still do that though.
_♣Caligula♣_ 24 May, 2024 @ 2:08am
1.3 instead of 1.4 version typo?
Kyrox 23 May, 2024 @ 9:15pm
Do how does this work idnyou have pet bladders enabled on dbh
velcroboy333  [author] 23 May, 2024 @ 8:21pm
Note: I didn't actually test with the lite version but I did patch for it. If you have any issues, let me know.
velcroboy333  [author] 23 May, 2024 @ 8:20pm
Yes, it should
ab1815195 23 May, 2024 @ 7:55pm
will this work with the lite version of the mod?
