@Homerunner I haven't really look into the mod you mentioned, but yes, it is highly likely that UI mods don't work together. To find out answer, you can simply check if the given mod alter the same file with this mod `gui/ingame_topbar.gui`. If I ever update this mod again (I haven't played this game for a while), this mod may become more incompatible with other UI mods.

This breaks the Better UI mod, doesn't it? It looks really cool, though..

this mod looks promising, will follow closely

Hi man! Some colour combinations (Thrace, Siculia, for ex.) look kind of rough. I don't know if there's anything you can do (add a marble texture in the primary colour or sth) to make it look better, but I hope you can make it work!

I'm glad you all like this mod.

@Foxpelt Yes it is possible to change the colors of other UI parts like the ones on the right side. But it means more game file modified. I might make a separate dependent mod for this.
I actually tried to implement this before I uploaded this mod, but it causes crashes so I had to remove it sadly. Will work more on it in the future.

Would it be possible to change the colors of the other parts of the UI like on the right side? This mod is great but it looks out of place to have the rest of the UI be red

This is really cool!

The idea is amazing. I have to test if it works with my purple Macedonia!

@cat @Piclis Nelzin Yes I saw this problem before I actually made this mod. However given the limited API Paradox provided it is difficult to make a mod that would solve the issue easily. With that said I will try to solve it anyway. Maybe when primary color and secondary color are too close, I will use white/black for font color instead (depending on the darkness of the primary color).

@E Enabling this for other windows means more .gui files edited and more conflicts with other UI mods. But yes I can give it a try.

There are a few of nations that need to be specifically coded to avoid the overlapping of same color of the background and font. I'm just too lazy to find it out. Maybe soon but if someone has knowledge care to help this mod is amazing it just makes it feel like you are "that nation".
E 27 May, 2024 @ 8:41am
This is a great idea.

It doesn't work with all nations unfortunately, but for where it does it looks very pleasing.

I hope you enable this for other UI elements (event windows etc.) as well.

I was about to say that. I formed Arabia and suddenly I can't read anything
cat 26 May, 2024 @ 11:23am
There is a slight problem with nations with the same color of primary and secondary. Because now I cant see the icons nor the fonts. Hehe

you are right
but Better UI - core mode..so other modes use to be compatible
any way, great work/idea, if you will do compatible mod for Better UI - that should be very nice
GHYNG  [author] 25 May, 2024 @ 6:31am
UI mods usually conflict with each other, as mods would usually have to modify same game files, unlike other part of the game while modders can create new files.
Still, I can make a separate mod for Better UI when I got time.

very nice idea, and looking awesome
but doesnt work well with Better UI...
