Turns out my Lua port broke everything, it should be fixed now. Get Lua 0.9.8b and everything should work perfectly.

that's the issue i downloaded the new LUA and no matter how many times i replace the files in my Managed folder the 1 button doesn't work

try updating ur lua first, new game update came out so lua had to be ported again

Drag the the dll files into ur M:PN instance's managed folder, types is only used for VSCode, if you aren't making a mod, you don't need it.

how to install and download LUA for MPN, if Types as Luas files and MoonSharp.Interpreter is not working and it's placed on wrong. (English is not my national language)

this is because M:PN updates, and everytime it updates, it will override Lua for M:PN. That's why u need to reinstall it everytime it updates.

sometimes the mod just stops working for no real reason idk why but like it'll work fine for one session but when i come back it just doesn't work until i reinstall

I can't make this without Lua for M:PN, that's impossible sadly. As for the video, maybe if I have freetime.

Then I have no idea why it isn't working, it seems to working perfectly fine for me. I see you installed the mod 3ish days ago, I would double check and make sure you don't have 0.6.(something)b and have 0.7.1b

You need to be using Lua for M:PN 0.7.1b or higher. The previous updates broke a lot of things and bc of that, I had to change this mod to be compatible with the new changes. This means if you're on an older version, this mod will not work.

The saber isn't deactivating properly. I try pressing the button and does the sound effect, but the blade is still on.

Ok, everything should be fixed now. It was issues with the API and the mod itself. I would update your version of Lua for M:PN asap.

you might have to install the newest version of Lua for M:PN. Had to make a breaking change to the API, and therefore this mod will no longer work until you upgrade to the most recent version of Lua for M:PN.

yeah, whatever folder you have opened in vs code, you just drag it in there. Btw, this is only if you want to mod the game using Lua itself. If you just want to play this mod, then you don't need the types folder.

When it says "Drag the types folder into the folder you have opened up within VS Code", what does that mean? Do I just copy the folder into the workspace?

1. Install Lua
2. Make sure you're subscribed to Zep's lightsaber mod (you need to be)
3. Make sure you're on the workshop beta branch
4. Open the game and enable the mod like you would with any other mod (make sure Zep's lightsaber mod is also enabled)
5. Press 1 while holding a lightsaber to ignite/extinguish it

Yeah, there were some errors with Lua for M:PN, they will be fixed in 0.6.1b, which should release in a couple of minutes after I send this message

Yes, you can play the main mod without Lua. However, this extension mod can only work with Lua for M:PN installed
