The weapon config file isn't appearing in the custom weapons folder in the ems folder, am I cooked?

Is it possible to edit the ammo values of the custom weapons? Every time I try and make a change in the VPK files it will revert back to the original after saving.

I booted up Tumtara via console and typed in the chat commands. cwl list works as intended but none of the spawn commands worked. The console give me a "SCRIPT PERF WARNING" whatever that means. Sorry, I'm not familiar with script mods.

A great idea that i was hoping would continue to be updated to fix many important issues like the tickrate going crazy just by shooting, hopefully someone else tries this again in a later date.

When will the Third Person Viewmodel be fixed? i use it in first person and the viewmodel is still there, it does't dissappear no matter what i do, it is very annoying to play like this but i still want the custom weapons, could you fix it?

guys,I find a way to make CWL weapons spawn in maps , check your weapon list cfg , and delete all of the original CWL weapons in the list , add other CWL weapons , It may make this work.

This is going to sound insane, but could you potentially use this to make clones of the guns already in the game? Like if I download Alex_D's scoped python secondary that replaces the scout, could I then create a custom weapon of the scout using this so I could have both the python and the scout active in my game at the same time?

As much as I love this mod, every custom weapon tanks the tickrate of the server by a LOT when you keep pressing m1 to shoot. Please fix it. Single taps works fine so it has something to do with the loop of pressing left mouse, even with bolt action weapons or semi automatic ones

somehow no custom sound or custom sound which is matters
For you guys who have problem of spawning CWL weapons:
1. You have sourcemod plugins conflict on weapons (including vanilla)
2. Too many CWL weapons in config setting (I only have 5 or less CWL weapons to let them spawn naturally without using command). That's how It works for me :sunglassesDoge:

Trying this mod for the first time, what do I need to do to have my custom weapons show up naturally in game besides spawning them with the chat command? They do spawn when typed up, but aren't appearing in game no matter what percentage I crank ReplacePercentage to.

I've been trying for hours to set this up but it doesn't work, I edited the file 3 times and it changes to a different text and the weapons don't spawn

this straight up doesnt work, chat commands do nothing, adding the filenames does nothing, and the tutorial is how to make your own weapon, not how to set this up. sigh

@Zacko you need to add them to the custom_weaponlist.cfg. it can be found in the left4dead2/ems/custom_weapon_lab folder.

I figured out how to fix the shotgun firing noises being played. in the animation .qci, replace AE_MUZZLEFLASH with AE_CL_CREATE_PARTICLE_EFFECT instead. this will cause it not to inherit the default firing noise bound by the default weapon_script.

same as hazmatoxic, can't seem to find out why it doesen't load any thing. although it loaded the first 4 weapons in the ems files, it didin't load the others like the mp7 and m4 (not to mention i cannot find the other weapons in game)

Can't reuse the addon after re-subscribing. I even deleted custom_weapon_lab folder, so it got regenerated but still addon won't work. It used to work perfectly for me.

amazing concept but it just feels really buggy. Some of the weapons like the M4 Carbine have no recoil animations, and all of them seem to be bugged in third person by having the wrong world model and not showing proper shooting animations.

FYI if you change the replace percent above or below 50 the weapons will not spawn. i already put it in the bug reports.

It may help if there was a discord for this mod, its kinda hard to want to make a mod out of this if its hard to find 3D modelers, animators, etc who also want too.
