any chance of making a "precursor missile" version, basically functioning the same way as chameleon stalkers
so they fire while charging or fire just before impact, to disrupt enemy?

Great mod, just one note: it doesn't give explosive damage to this units with the last upgrade of the Gunnery School of Elsphet

Do they have warband uprades? I haven't gotten to these units yet in my new campaign but i didn't see any of them in the warband screens. It is always nice to keep and upgrade my units to the better version.

The mod has been updated and functions correctly. I have not had time to finish any new features sadly, but it will work without crashing!

The AI uses these units and they benefit from all the correct technology upgrades. Though I cannot get them to use the melee infantry upgrades from the tech tree since those specifically *exclude* gunnery units. But they do benefit from all gunnery and infantry upgrades.

I believe that during vlads first war on the empire he was said to use mercenaries bandits and militia alongside his undead

I am currently quite busy, but I will attempt to find time to work on this mod. I did not know vampire counts even had free company militia? Any way, I'm gonna try and upgrade the looks of the units as described before. This will probably take several weeks, if not months due to my work schedule, and the fact that I find this all very complex. But first I will see if I can make any free company unit also has another higher tier of free company units, befitting the faction in question. Free company freebooters for vampire coast perchance.
I will also improve the portrait art, making sure it is faded in the right places and overall is better to look at and will more resemble the original game art in terms of style.
If you have any balance feedback let me know.I was considering giving the free company bastions shields, and maybe having them single pistol infantry instead of sword and pistol, and then draw their sword when in melee.
Any other suggestions are welcome!

Also, it's not a bad result if those are your first unit cards (not at all, really!) but they could prob also benefit from some more work - a very hard thing to do, but if they start looking great side-by-side to vanilla cards or cards from "Alternative Unit Cards" (so more consistent with them then they are now) then you made it <3

There's an asset pack as well actually, yes - I know my mods ;) Find the mods "Unit card resource for modders" parts 1 & 2 by Aquizar. Maker of some of the most amazing cards I have seen, perfect lighting at all. I think he's a pro concept artist IRL. Have fun, much love from Berlin <3

And on the technical side, there might be both the option to use assets from the pack and ask Zio to publish the mod with them - or to have the asset pack as a requirement (not a thing for me, Velox and Deco but might be less convenient for casual players, also the pack covers multiple races and is quite large)

Oh, and because I personally found this quite a bit confusing, because key info is not available on all the mod pages or not consistent... If I may, here's my load order for ZC, with add. variety by bringing some of the floppy hats back (some!), Sigmar's Heirs and officers for vanilla and Sigmar's Heirs troops. Should either way be a massive help even if you go for a different setup - I believe the items near the middle need MANUAL load order adjusting to come out like this <3

You're def in the best hands with the ZC reskin and its massive asset library!

My tip would be to start look at different (maybe even regional) troops reskinned by ZC - there are submods adding more variety and flavour, in particular when you also play with Sigmar's Heirs and the respective submods - to find 1-3 asset combinations you like already and start tweaking off that.

Anyway, may I ask what kind of tool is used for this kind of work? Thanks for this mod, I'm just adding it to my heavily modded Nuln campaign <3

If I can suggest, maybe basing the reskins off ZC's empire reskins can be a decent start if you with to make the units abit more distinct :D and adding unit officers just like ZC's reskins too :D Great mod, thank you!

Thanks Kane, I am not experienced with modding things, so getting it working at all was already a challenge - but I am definitely planning on putting some more work into this mod and giving the units a more distinct appearance, as soon as I learn how to!
