Unfortunately though, it seems that the Earthshaker Cannons aren't increasing unit capacity with other artillery!
I also had barracks building on proper lvl - allowing their recruitment.

Yes, the Dais only buffing units with Contempt is indeed intentional. I can't make it work with Hellforged units that don't also have that attribute, such as the aforementioned K'daai Fireborn, since 1) it isn't possible to do so and 2) they aren't considered to be Chaos Dwarfs for the same reason Hobgoblins aren't, anyway.
As for the issue regarding Hashut's Gunpowder Units, perhaps you should contact the author of that mod about it?
in addition, the dais of the stone sorcerer only buffs units with contempt. K'daai fireborn lack this attribute. would you want to include one of their traits in the buff conditions of the dais so they get buffed too, or is this intentional?
lastly, i am also having some issues with the units from Hashut's gunpowder units mod also not increasing armaments cost properly. it doesnt stop increasing entirely, but it increases by less than 5. i saw you said your issue was a simple fix in the modding discord. this is in no way your responsibility, so do whatever you want, but if you were also interested in this mod, maybe you could check that mod to see if the mod author made the same mistake you did, and tip him off about it? once again, its not your problem, im just mentioning it.
So I concluded that it was likely an performance issue, so I just changed unit quality from medium to low (in the graphics settings) and reverted the DB changes I did to the pack file and it worked fine with an entire stack of Ironback Dragoons with Ultra sized units (ie. 32 models per unit).
Also to the few commentors who even with it written in the gods damned description and seeing a pretty clear explanation of the bug on the same page of comments you wrote yours and why it was gonna take time to fix, go learn to read!!! Its not hard to look over the description of a mod before using it or if you encounter a bug, and be aware people like you are the reason so many modders get burnt out and eventually quit resulting in some of the best mods been abandoned.
Saying that if anyone does have knowledge or think they can learn how it works I'm sure the author would appreciate some assistance. I tried to help but sadly its beyond my abilities as I've only ever made simple unit mods for personal use that only require table editing.

I'll see if lily or dead have any experience with lua scripts but its unlikely from previous talks they've had about modding but I can try I guess.
Hope you can find someone with more knowledge on the matter. I might have a poke around again later to try and fix it too if my health permits it.
