After all, Buddhist philosophy was similar to ancient Greek and Christian philosophy. There's strong evidence, contrary to popular lies, that the Greeks and especially the Romans did not approve of homosexuality.
If liberals are willing to lie about their precious Greek history they'll lie about any. So watch out for these misconceptions.
Expectations for the update will also be some religion map changes, especially since we get a new start date in vanilla. Thank you guys!
It means a lot!
EDIT: I have investigated a little, and it seems the reason behind this is RICE_magadha_effects file in RICE which force-adds RICE-specific doctrines on top of any existing Buddhist faiths.
I will use it right way!!!!
Very strange though, if you load Legacy of Ashoka later in the mod list, it should use Legacy of Ashoka's files. Have you tried without Unofficial Patch mod?
I have had a look and the mod I found that also modify the 00_core_tenets file is the Unofficial patch and I have this mod loaded after the unofficial patch so I am a stumped by it.
As to reincarnation as a virtue, that's a good idea. Great way to represent the Tulku tradition. Will implement in an update.
He is know as Milinda and he ruled in the area of Punjab which in Hellenic language is translated as "Pentapotamia".
I am tryin to create a scenario of reforming the Indo-Hellenic kingdom with the capital of Alexandria Eschate which is in Gandhara duchy.
Really nice mod!!!
Once I play around and test compatibility more, i'll update my mod description about it. There are a lot of good mods on the workshop that give Buddhism attention. What my mod hopes to accomplish is to fill in the gaps where accuracy, flavor, and playability is needed.
How compatible is RICE with this mod? And;
What do you think of the changes RICE does to Buddhism, and do you think it handles buddhism well?
The point about the White Huns is a familiar one. Unfortunately, it is a decades-old theory and now disproven by modern scholars. See Kuwayama 2002 "Across the Hindukush of the First Millennium. A collection of Papers", Verardi 2011 "Buddhism in North-western India and Eastern Afghanistan, Sixth to Ninth Century AD"; Ashish Kumar 2021 "The Huns ('Hunas') in India: A Review"; and Bipin Shah 2023 "Last Hindu Empire of India - Gupta And Their Interactions with Kushan, Kidara and Alchon Huns and Aftermath".
Your point about the decline of Buddhism in that region stands however. Hinduism was very prominent there and the old-fashioned Buddhism of Asanga and Vasubandhu was no more.
I'll incorporate your thoughts into the next update for sure.

Check out Rajas of Asia mod for a way more balanced approach to actual history.
Kashmir valley (county of Kasmira) should be Trika Shaivism. Currently not present in game, Shaivism would make an okay replacement till it's implemented.
Buddhism was in decline even before Muslim invasions thanks to Adi Shankara debating over Buddhist monks and bringing Hinduism to masses. Islamic invasions were just final nail in the coffin. Likewise Buddhists dynasties were only successful around Bengal and Bihar under Pala Empire all other regions were dominated by Hindu dynasties for years.
I'm not saying there shouldn't be any Buddhism in India but majorly restricted to the eastern part. It's presence in North West and central India is way overdone.
Like Buddhism in Punjab should be outright replaced by Shaivism as it was eradicated during reign of Mihirakula Huna.
According to historical sources, Buddhism was on the decline during both bookmarks and didn't completely disappear until later in the medieval period. Contributing factors to its decline were (1) the fall of the Pala (Indian Buddhism heavily relied on royal patronage) and (2) the Muslim invasions (trade changed to Muslim instead of Buddhist merchants, and the mercantile class was the lifeblood of Indian Buddhism).
Chinese and Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage accounts also reinforce the idea that Buddhism, at least in a more syncretic form, thrived in northern India and especially northeastern India for several centuries after the bookmarks.
