Hey, could you update/mark this as 1.6?
Deimos kai Aischylos 22 Aug, 2024 @ 1:42pm
Well, I have the mod that lets you build a museum. If you use it alongside the fishing set, it lets you allow them to be viewed. It's a lovely bit of integration. Plus, they recently introduced glass walls that also count as a viewable object so you can place them on entity enclosures to pretend like people are doing entity tourism. It is neat.

@Deimos kai Aischylos Somehow I hadn't even thought to use them for a museum. Damn, now I need to make an aquarium!

Whelp, trying to get similar done for the Gothic set was an unpleasant experience for me, so I'll just hope someone does it in the future, maybe. Either way, thank you again for sharing this. Has been great for my museum.

@Uriel Septim VII Haha, well thank you. I'm definitely glad I got the art done. I need to make a fishing-oriented colony soon!
Uriel Septim VII 16 Aug, 2024 @ 2:28am
well its fantastic art and whoever spent the money spent it well!

@Uriel Septim VII Lol, well thank you, but I just commissioned all the art :D
Uriel Septim VII 15 Aug, 2024 @ 11:44am
that's fine because you have done so good anyway! Keep up your good work!

will you do the Gothic re-texture?
Deimos kai Aischylos 1 Jun, 2024 @ 9:14am
Amazing. Thank you.

@Deimos kai Aischylos Oh! That's fairly simple overall. I suggest going on the Rimworld Mod Market Discord server. You can post there about what you need to commission someone for. Then you'll discuss, and once the work is done, you pay the person

I more meant in the broader sense of commissioning someone(s). Likely a stupid question, but I've never even considered commissioning a mod until now. I'll try to poke around on my own to see how I can make that happen. Thank you.

@Deimos kai Aischylos I don't know for 100% certainty what specifically was done, but from what I can tell it was mostly just an organizational thing. Just get the art done, put it in the appropriate folders, name the textures the same as the originals, and set up an About file and you're pretty much good to go, I think. (Also make sure it loads after the original mod)

Would you happen to be able to share how hard this was to set up? This is so good that I would genuinely pay to have similar treatment done to the Gothic [MUS] as I love it, but there's some art choices I feel could use a change. This is the style of changes as it looks perfectly vanilla.

@LAZER™ Yeah no worries :D

@Dragon1993 Just asking since both are very nice looking mods.
Draegon1993  [author] 30 May, 2024 @ 12:53pm
@LAZER™ Nope, sorry. I commissioned the art for this one because I wanted to use it in my games

I thought it was an upscale, but it's a retexture that changes the look completely. Very nice work, personally I prefer the textures of the original mod, especially the texture of the bench and the fish tanks with more details.

@Toast Ah thank you! Knew I forgot something :D

Absolutely love the retexture, although it looks like you forgot to mark the original as being required.
