@masterchief While I don't think a timer will solve the problems of those gamemodes, I will consider it just because many people want it.

Thank you for the respond i wish you and your team goodluck on it, il definitely vote for the vip mode the moment it apears on the workshop, i also saw you suggesting an arena fix wich i personaly would love to see added to the game aswel, i do have one more question tho is there a chance you could make anothet vscropt fix but for the modes such as: ctf, plr and mp, by adding an timer to it like some maps for those modes already have like helltrain?

Lizard i have a question, since the tf2 sdk got updated and we probably gona get an official steam release of OF, are you still planning to update this mode and gungame?

I'm making a rewrite to the core code to improve performance and in general make things better. It will take a while, but the gamemode is not abandoned.

Oh okay, so they are distinct and not just "re-skins," nice. makes more sense now. also I agree, you are making the better decision by working with them instead of emulating them without due credit. as an off game mode, these script maps are always hugely impressive, even if they push the boundaries of the base game. it's better you're being experimental and doing cool stuff!

An update has dropped!

- Added the Chaingun.
- Reduced Rocket Launcher's splash radius (146 -> 109.5) for Open Fortress parity.
- Fixed an FPS issue related to the Merc's cosmetics and the third-person weapon model.
- Fixed Previous Weapon bind not working correctly.
- Fixed dropped super weapons having max ammo, as opposed to the ammo left.
- Fixed GIB bomblets sometimes exploding the owner upon the main projectile's impact.
- Fixed being able to switch off of GIB during its attack charge.
- Fixed the Assault Rifle "feeling laggy" on high ping.
- Fixed the Assault Rifle and the Pistol Akimbo not having unique third person animations.
- Code improvements and optimization.

Thanks! They aren't just reskins - there are balance changes. E.g. Grenade Launcher grenades explodes when shot at point blank, the Chaingun still allows you to jump, and the Railgun can headshot with no scope and doesn't slow you down while scoped-in.
Also, It would be wrong to cut people and their contribution out. Some have voiced their concern about a list of contributors this large, but I believe if DM-VScript is to ever exist, partnering with Open Fortress was the right thing to do, rather than creating "legally distinct Open Fortress at home"

It's incredible that we've gotten so far with V-Script that this is possible. My only "critique" is probably a subjective one, but the weapons look like they lean a bit farther into a cartoony/saturated color palette than I think TF2 uses (compared to stock mainly, let's ignore ugly outliers like the Pomson/Cowmangler). It's probably too late to change it now, but I am also confused why many weapons appear to be re-skins rather than using TF2 assets. Outside of the Shotgun, the four other weapons (five if the Chaingun functions identically to the Minigun) which appear to be the same weapons as other classes have been re-designed? Is it just for cosmetic purposes? I feel like that makes more sense in OF but launching it in the main branch might be confusing.
Again, probably too late to change this now since the models, animating and majority of the work is already done. Regardless, this is super impressive that it just works

Open Fortress is more than just Deathmatch, but this is indeed a recreation of OF's Deathmatch in VScript.

An update has dropped!

- Added outlines to weapon pickups you don't currently possess.
- Improved Weapon UI performance.
- Fixed botkillers in your face.
- Fixed pickups not respecting the assigned bounding box.
- Fixed inactive (picked up) pickups blocking certain attack types (namely melee hits).
- Fixed dropped weapons not providing the weapon sometimes.
- Fixed a bug when not having reserve ammo for certain weapons caused the Railgun to become unselectable.
- Now using Soldier as the base class so that the taunt animations will match the length.
- Code improvements, optimizations and safeguards.

Open Fortress parity improvements:
- Enemy HP is no longer visible.
- Added the visual countdown indicator for Super Weapons.
- Players drop small ammo pack on death.
- Added the weapon spawner plate prop from OF.
- Super Shotgun now gibs the opponents upon dealing more than 150 damage in 1 shot.

Actually, I'm not sure if OF is allowed to be linked on the workshop, so, yeah... But those issues aren't relevant to the assets and code present in the workshop gamemodes.

No, but once the DM's vscript is fully complete I'll publish it for everyone to use. Don't want to make others monitor the script all the time for potential updates, as "have I packed everything correctly" is a very annoying process.
GunGame is already published btw.

The railgun view model seems to be bugged on lower model quality. Seems like the spinning segment of the weapon became a garbled mess.

and I'm still working on more stuff. For example, weapon pickup outlines, but filtered by weapons you don't currently possess.
The "coming soon" weapon are also indeed "coming soon".

I thought that this pause between Hydro and others maps was due to necessity to complete other aspects of gamemode(Like adding chainsaw, chaingun, etc.) or complete map changes. But it looks on screenshots like original Hydro and I knew only about addition of UI on other maps. If I wrong and there more behind the curtains then fine. I still support this stuff.
