i mean the old versions before biotech had thrumboian hide although back then they used to be extremely broken and im still trying to figure out how i could balance it out.

killing thumbo gives you stuff you can turn into thrumbo fabic to make stuf out of im not to shure how to get it i normal end up getting it from mass murder and turning liveing things into walking tumors

@Parnoid looking this up I found out two things: 1, there is a Baldur's Gate 3 character named Thrumbo. 2 there is vanilla thrumbo fur that's valued at 2240 for a year's supply of fur. If we want to make this something that colonists can indeed shear, I'd probably make it either 1/2 or a 1/3. Or full price because it's your mod and you have the right to ball out.

@lexcpa324, you can go the Zeus route and say someone got to close to a thrumbo one day. My head canon is the empire made them because how strong thrumbos are but it failed.

Kind of wish this had SOME lore in the descriptions, like, idk, say a genetic experiment gone wrong, or something like that, instead of "they are thrumboian i guess, they cool looking"

I'm currently playing as a cannibal colony and a bunch of Thrumboian raided me. I obvs butchered them after they perished and now I'm wondering why they don't drop their horns in the butchering process.

I just noticed from a random wild man thrumboian I tamed that he spawned with the Body Purist trait, giving him a permanent -10 mood debuff because of his own horn. kinda funny, but should probably be addressed. Poor guy is a constant break risk.

ah awesome! thanks for the reply. somehow i didn't think to look into the surgery to get the horns. but yea i don't know how to code either but shedding horns like some animals drop fur would work well with the new weapons in the tribal start. thanks so much again, you are awesome!

This mod shouldn't have any problems with the alien races mod. the thrumboian horn harvesting is located at the operations tab as a surgery (i don't really know how to code but them shedding the horns and dropping them sounds like a cool idea)

Sorry but I don't know how to get the Thrumboian horn harvesting effect to work. I thought I was using vanilla framework.

The species doesn't seem to work. should I remove the 'alien races' mod?

the 'i' and 'a' are swapped to wrongly spell 'Thrumboain'.

I don't care about any other alien race or humanoid species.

my mod list is pretty small. i just want this mod to work as intended cos sheading horns in a tribal clan sounds so fun.

please help!

it should be safe, although it may not add the thrumboian tribe factions on the save.

Minor spelling error: The genes for hair and skin color are spelled 'Thurmbo' instead of 'Thrumbo'. Threw me off when I was trying to search the gene list to see if I'd finished collecting.

It happens like 50% of the time, I'll try to investigate the reason and report any findings here.

My mod list is huge (908 mods), so it can be a conflict with something else I have.

that's odd thrumboian fury is only a buff that the AI can use and doesn't change the pawn's behavior, but idek what could even be the issue. plus ive been running the mod with over 200 mods and haven't noticed any issues with it.

Is it just me that have thrumboian raiders hitting themselves instead of me randomly after spawning? It's the only race that does that, maybe it's related to the "fury" ability? No idea what can be causing this...

yea sure. so it cause pain at the beginning but once it goes into later stages it can reduce pain and its meant for the part to be harvested so you can make the thrumboian weapons. it should regrow within 5 days

can you explain what the "thrumboian horn effect" does? i just captured 2 thrumboian with no damage to the head and randomly (like 1-2 days after being captured) they got that effect.

What mod let you customize the genes of your races while also adding an entire system for controllable mechs?
