Also: looking at the code, the Student challenge does not appear like it would work at all for Spearmaster or Artificer as both Spearmaster's Looks to the Moon and Artificer's Five Pebbles do not have item checking code implemented in the code for that challenge.

@Shiny Kelp this definitely doesn't work correctly if MSC is disabled, as some challenges require MSC-exclusive creatures (such as the Apex Master challenge, which does not work at all without MSC as all of the creatures it can pick, including albino king vultures, are MSC-exclusive, with exception to Red Horror Centipedes which require another mod. On a similar note, that challenge does not check if the creature from that particular challenge is even accessible to the slugcat before assigning it, which is severely detrimental to hidden challenges as most of the creatures it can assign are slugcat-exclusive.)

There's a chance that it won't work correctly if More Slugcats is disabled, though I'm not sure about that one.
You should see all the challenges if you click the filter icon.If that doesn't work then I'm not sure why, perhaps another mod is causing issues

Is there something I need to do like having it load above expeditions in the mod menu? Currently I don't see any new challenges when clicking through different options when starting a new expedition

Hey y'all, I finally got around to updating this for the watcher. Threw in there a couple bugfixes too.
Unfortunately I won't add any extra content soon as I'm busy with other mods.

Really like this mod, but I have one concern. On the "harder" difficulties, the Student challenge can get to a point where you need to bring 24 different items to an iterator. I think this is impossible, as there's about only 17 items that I think can actually count towards this goal. I've brought a vulture lure and a hazer to Moon, and neither counted towards the goal, which makes me suspect that I currently have an expedition that is impossible to beat. Have you tested this and made sure that it actually works?

yeah, whenever I feed a creature to a leviathan or long legs, i need to restart the game and then it'll work. that means i always have to do one more than what the challenge says, because for some reason restarting the game before feeding one to them doesn't work? very odd. fortunatlely i can just disable those challenges until it gets fixed

sea offering suddenly doesn't work for me anymore, it doesn't seem to recognize that i threw the creatures :[

This isn't a UI problem, but a suggestion for 'Apex Master'. I didn't think I had necessary mods enabled yet for 'Apex Master', but apparently it does include one custom creature I have available, the Red Horror centipede. Could you please consider adding other custom creatures too, whether dangerous and/or rare?

Some suggested examples:
bombardier vulture, outspector,
sapphiric weaver, scutigera,
silver lizards, udonfly

Very cool assortment of extra expedition challenges.
I haven't actually started one with this mod yet, but I have some input after checking out the UI:

* The Milestones pop-up screen on the Progression tab has about 1/3 of the custom challenges tally hidden off the screen, and the 'close' option for the pop-up is also stuck behind text layers (although it can be selected still). Please consider making a 2nd column for the completed custom totals, similar for what you did designing the custom filters.

* The 'Rotten Offering', 'Sea Offering', and sometimes also the 'Heist' challenges all have a weird text bug, namely 'AngryNoodle_OnHibernated' appearing in the middle of the challenge description and cutting off some last words.

doing the edibles challenge, and so far ive found popcorn plants and vulture grub arent accounted for. not sure if this is on purpose or mistake, but i thought id let you know.

Curious for the King challenges, I often play with a group on Easy mode (since the more you play with, the harder it is for everyone to stay alive) and I was curious if it tracked who killed and whether they specifically stayed alive, or if it simply tracks whether it has been killed by a player character and whether a cycle has continued to progress or not?

@Striderman Basically anything survivor can't eat, doesn't count. Plus non-small centipedes.
Stowaways mainly because they're hard to find, more so than hard to kill. Hailstorm has an option to make them quite a bit tougher to beat though if you're up for that.

Love these ideas, just a couple questions:
When you say meat doesn't count towards the gourmet challenge are you referring to corpses or any food item that contributes to the hunter passage?
Do only spiders, dropwigs, and centipedes count towards the pesticide challenge? It would seem appropriate to include all insects that can be killed with a spore puff (batflies, noodleflies, eggbugs, etc.) given that they're in large enough quantities.
As for the apex master challenge, why stowaways? MLLs, leviathans, and train lizards are all impossible or near impossible to kill, but stowaways can be killed with relative ease with spears (or god forbid a single spore puff).
All in all, I like what you've come up with and am looking forward to seeing where this goes in the future.

Just letting everyone know that Expedition Region Support is currently not compatible with this mod. Status on a fix is TBD.
