ivrytowers 27 Jun @ 1:36pm
can u fix it bcuz it broke my game
Bry  [author] 7 May @ 8:31pm
Nope. I wouldn't hold your breath on it happening soon, either; I'm occupied with non-Rain World things right now.
TheDestroyer 7 May @ 8:40am
Has this been updated yet?
isek 29 Apr @ 3:40pm
can they spawn natrualy
Bry  [author] 8 Mar @ 6:03pm
You can't! I removed their spawns in vanilla and MSC regions to avoid potential conflicts with other mods that also try to add spawns there.
Pubbles 8 Mar @ 9:03am
how can i reenable natural spawning
Bry  [author] 28 Jan @ 9:29am
wtf the page got blocked???
Well, I fixed it; fingers crossed it doesn't immediately get reblocked.
dimaisdekoning 27 Jan @ 2:32pm
I can't click on the link?
Bry  [author] 20 Nov, 2024 @ 10:20pm
Oh, no don't worry, those particular Weavers have been complained about a lot.
I... was actually going to remove all Weaver spawns from the mod; you just made me realize I forgot to do that.
One moment.
lunarwasp 20 Nov, 2024 @ 8:20pm
I had to disable these because they kept killing me as soon as I spawned in as rivulet, when I started the run. Is this a skill issue or an actual real thing that needs to be addressed?
Crab 30 Oct, 2024 @ 7:12pm
Noted. Thanks for the answer, sounds pretty neat.
Bry  [author] 30 Oct, 2024 @ 6:55pm
They SHOULD be, yeah, but it takes a decent amount of time, and they need to actually make it back to their shelter when given food for any rep gain to happen.
But after enough food, they SHOULD stop being hostile and start loosely following you.

The SHOULDs are because I was not able to thoroughly test this myself.
Crab 30 Oct, 2024 @ 6:41pm
Wiki leaves it slightly too ambiguous for my taste, can these be tamed?
GeorgieWoGeorgaMus 24 Oct, 2024 @ 1:52am
reminds me of that one pokemon nobody cares about
(im not saying this mod is bad its fire and i havent even used it yet)
riley_ 23 Oct, 2024 @ 2:47pm
alright cool. you could maybe give it about the same proportions as the default spider icon and just make the legs slightly longer and end in sharp points
Bry  [author] 23 Oct, 2024 @ 2:32pm
Yeah, their icons could probably use some touch-ups.
I like to make my creatures' icons Actually Distinct from those of the base game, so what I'm most likely going to do is just make minor edits to some bits that look off.
I think the legs being more detailed is fine; they're kind of the Weavers' most immediately-noticeable feature.
riley_ 23 Oct, 2024 @ 2:05pm
alright take your time. i got some tips on how to fight them and they've become a lot easier to deal with.
also once you can, could you please change the in-game creature icons for the weavers? they look too overdetailed imo, should be closer to the typical spider icon
Bry  [author] 23 Oct, 2024 @ 1:29am
Rebalancing Weavers is something I want to do eventually, once I take care of like 3-5 other projects I currently have that are much more pressing than that.
Bry  [author] 23 Oct, 2024 @ 1:28am
That's actually because Bubble Weavers weren't meant to be QUITE as ecosystem-wrecking as they ended up being.
They were supposed to be able to be worn down and subdued by other creatures, but their natural health regen has clearly let them get away with anything that doesn't instantly kill them.
riley_ 22 Oct, 2024 @ 5:59pm
bubble weavers do not contribute nearly enough to the threat music. they're nearly apex predators after all, certainly more dangerous to a slugcat at least than a red lizard or a vulture. yet the threat music acts like it's hardly anything more than a dropwig.
Bry  [author] 27 Sep, 2024 @ 11:29am
'Tis a shame. :slugcatsleep:
Sisudatu 27 Sep, 2024 @ 3:51am
it seems like The BudGermination mod breaks this mod :(
CJScraft 2 Aug, 2024 @ 11:30am
deserves the front page
rabies 31 Jul, 2024 @ 1:32pm
i love rain world spiders
Bry  [author] 10 Jun, 2024 @ 9:33pm
No problem! Lmk if you ever upload your region; I'm interested to see how you use the fellas :cousin_ichigo:
cam 10 Jun, 2024 @ 7:41pm
Ahh I see now in the files where you've merged the tokens into. If having two token unlocks for the same creature is an issue for the game, I should be able to modify your modifications (lol) so that the tokens get moved if people have my mod enabled. I can't imagine it'll be needed though. Either way thanks so much!
Bry  [author] 10 Jun, 2024 @ 2:47pm
OKAY, PATCH NUMBER THREEEEE
- Fixed a crash when sheltering with a Bubble Weaver under a specific circumstance.
- Fixed an oversight that prevented certain creature flags from having an effect on Bubble Weavers.
Bry  [author] 10 Jun, 2024 @ 2:20pm
Not at all; go ham!
Just so you know: they actually all have spawns and arena unlocks; most of it is just locked behind Downpour, simply because there weren't any better-fitting areas to throw them into in the base game.
cam 10 Jun, 2024 @ 9:41am
Would you mind if I do arena tokens for both variants of these guys and drain mites in my region? I haven't found any regions that have them and I'd love to give them a home.
NotWhoISeem 7 Jun, 2024 @ 4:22pm
Oh I read the wiki they do
NotWhoISeem 7 Jun, 2024 @ 4:20pm
Do they spawn naturally?
Bry  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:46pm
Is the Eat function a Parasitic thing? I think you're out of luck on my end if so, lol
Numerous Stones 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:24pm
@Bry good news, it does work!

although the eat function doesnt, though i have no idea how to make that work, but no pressure
Numerous Stones 7 Jun, 2024 @ 2:35pm
@Bry hooray, I sure do hope the safari controls also works with the parasitic scug

and nuts i shall go
Bry  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 1:45pm
And another quick update: Safari controls!
@Numerous Stones: go nuts.
Bry  [author] 6 Jun, 2024 @ 6:36pm
ALRIGHT, the mod has been updated! There should no longer be a conflict with Hailstorm!
Aside from that, Bubble Weavers have received SLIGHT changes and a minor fix. Most of the differences are relationships with a few creatures being altered.
cam 6 Jun, 2024 @ 4:22am
I absolutely love these guys, they're terrifying, and the region I'm working on is perfectly positioned to justify an early presence of them. Honestly couldn't have dropped this absolute banger at a better time.
GebSuo 4 Jun, 2024 @ 10:01pm
nightmare fuel
Bry  [author] 2 Jun, 2024 @ 10:45am
I plan to add Safari Controls for them when I have time. Don't know how well they work in Safari right now, though.
Numerous Stones 2 Jun, 2024 @ 8:09am
Could this be compatible with safari mode?
sniffledorf_ 1 Jun, 2024 @ 11:22pm
hailstorm seems to break this and drain mites cool mod tho
Nitrophantasm 1 Jun, 2024 @ 2:09pm
this mod seems to have a conflict with hailstorm
Nitrophantasm 1 Jun, 2024 @ 1:48pm
@Bry This mod doesn't work with drain mites, but also even when I only have fisobs, mod presets, more slugcats expansion, rain world remix, and this mod enabled it doesn't even show in arena or beastmaster
Numerous Stones 1 Jun, 2024 @ 10:42am
i wonder what other custom creatures will be made?
Juhn 1 Jun, 2024 @ 9:37am
Those things are nasty. Great job!
pinkus 1 Jun, 2024 @ 4:44am
@Bry drain mites killed my grandma they don't work rn
Bry  [author] 1 Jun, 2024 @ 12:54am
I'll test that interaction when I have time to make sure, but I think it's just that Drain Mites are broken right now. Unless the Mites run (mostly) fine on their own for you?
TruffleFluffle 1 Jun, 2024 @ 12:50am
This mod seems to conflict with your other mod drain mites, it keeps saysing failed to call orig on mods init
Bry  [author] 1 Jun, 2024 @ 12:49am
@vynnyal: In quite a few locations, actually! But they don't really show up until after Monk's time.

@Nitrophantasm: Got any other mods enabled? That might help pin down the issue.
