(458) start with two Ri equipped with many gems and an army of tuatha warriors
From my memory I can safely name two:
(41) though it was cool to start with sacred crocodiles
(823) or (859) massively overpowered start, huge amounts of knights etc. upkeep on turn 1 like -800
I can see the AI starting on those provinces regularly, when the hall of fame is crowed by named commanders, like Black Knight Lords for MA Mictlan :: this happens in almost every test run with 30+ nations.
Did a lot of test runs the last weeks.
Also looking at the hall of fame, I can see that the AI can start there too, resulting in extremely strong AI starts ( e.g. AI gets like 80 black knights of ulm on turn 1 etc. and expands to 20 provinces turn 10 on indie strength 9).
Otherwise, a great map :)
A friend of mine was playing MA Ermor and they had an awake god but when they loaded in they just had a Sage and a bunch of knights?
I'll see about making a post regarding the issue in a bug thread.

I think its these three.
I went about trying to fix it but it keeps reverting back. Lack of knowledge on my side I'm sure.
This guy. He hates it. Why?
BECAUSE IT'S THE MAP EDITOR MAKING IT HAPPEN EACH TIME.
My undying appreciation goes to you for this.

Sea province 849 has a terrain bitmask for Deep Sea (2048) + Sea (4) + Highlands (16), and just appears as "Gorge". Province 910 has those bitmasks + nostart and also claims to be a Gorge. These might just be bugs with how the game displays multiple terrain types, which was pretty limited the last time I looked into it.
Sea Province 940 has only terrain bitmask 512 (nostart) and appears as a Plains. This is a bigger problem than the two above because it totally lacks any underwater bitmasks and the game will treat it as a land province despite it being in the middle of the ocean and looking like water.
Thanks again for tackling this, I love this old map and I think it will be fun to play in the new dominions 6 format. It must have been an enormous task.
2/3 (fingers crossed)
I'm also seeing the problem Tyburn mentioned with provinces. It's particularly noteworthy in the northeast, like Tyburn said - take a look at province 1053. It's terrain is listed as "Terrain: Void & Vast (flooded)".
1/3 (hopefully)
I'll check out the mountains, that sounds like a serious bug
Void (Very low income, many magic sites)
Vast (armies will not clash, cannot be owned)
I'm also seeing some connections that are very wrong, like province 730 that connects to 765, 954 and 706 (unless they are there to represent sea routes, but we have the Sailing attribute...).
The latter has no impact on map movement, the former does.
What do you mean by "void"?
