I’ve been trying to make my mod work with the Adaptive Storage framework, but no luck so far. I will check it out in the future.
Also, I saw that you can already set item counts on caravans. Isn’t that what you wanted?
I am not sure about compatibility with Adaptive Storage Framework. I will update you in a short time.
This is a really good idea about caravans and gravships. I will look into that too.
Thank you for your interest.
Sorry for late reply.
Both approaches have their own unique problems.
If storage would eject exceed items,
Items could expose rain, outdoor and it could ruin their durability and player could miss that easiy.
If pawns would move items to another storage, this could increase their work responsibility.
I will try to solve the bug in following days.
Thank you for your contributions.
But I talk about the stockpile itself who eject the exceed items, as in the mod "Stack gap" (so pawns come back to haul the items who become out of stockpile).
Do you mean pawns carry out exceed items from a stockpile ?
An automatic items ejection couldn't be a solution? (like in the mod stackgap)
Sorry to hear that.
Those 3 shelves are linked together or seperated ?
Thank you for your good comment. I glad it worked for you. Have a nice day.
Happy to hear that. Feel free to contact me if you have any problem.
It may not be compatible with my mod build.
Maybe there are some similar mods? (I just had a hard time finding this one)
A storage limit is really needed.
I did not have a chance to measure properly the performance in big bases.
In my tests, It has some overload on vanilla version but it can be neglected in small bases.
Best answer for your question is, you should give it a chance and try it yourself.
I've send suggestion to developers of the RimWorld game:
Please add to "Storage zone" settings the number of NEED LIMIT.

and found your beautiful mod. But...
After i've add this mod:

inside my middle save game - my screen start to black-flashing every 0.2 seconds and i can not to play now.
thank you for your comment.
I've tested my mod with several mods that increase item stack size, and it seems to work well with them.
If you're using a specific mod, please let me know the mod's name. I'll be happy to investigate compatibility.
I have updated mod name in game to resolve the confusion. Please let me know if anything does not work.
Yes, the mod compatible with storage buildings.
My mod modifies how pawns find storage to haul items. It should work, if the mods that you are mentioned, do not change how pawn find storage function.
This is my first thought. I could give you satisfying when I reviewed them.
Is this compatible with vanilla shelves and modded storage furniture?
Is this compatible with mods that increase or modify item stack size?
I will update the downloaded name tomorrow.
