Reminds of the plasma rifles from the Terminator movies.

Would be cool if someone could make a mod to have the sound as well.

i see! will look into that sometime...
i just wish there was an easier way to test stuff like this, with my own gzdoom stuff i always load into a testmap and spawn in stuff via console, i imagine something like that will come with the added mod documentation in the future? :ileye:

You can fix that issue by adjusting the pivot point of the tracer. It's what we did with our bullet tracers too!

I'm not entirely sure why Sgt. Mark (assuming you got it from BD!) did it this way

I wish plasma weapons penetrating walls was a feature.

i have noticed that, its usually with the plasma enemies yeah? the laser bolt is fairly long so when they shoot thin walls you can see them poking through, not sure if thats something that i can actually fix without just making the bolts much much shorter but ill keep it in mind!

This is a great mod firstly, but I just thought you'd like to know that there can be issues with the effect passing through walls. I'm not sure how to fix this so take your time and thank you for making the mod in the first place it really neat! :VACBOT_Happy:

I really do like the effect, much more meatier. I'd like to sign the petition as well.

I feel that if this were to make it into the official it would fit best as some kind of alt fire, since it clashes with the philosophy/upgrades, like bigger balls with AoE which makes sense with the plasma balls, so a more beam like projectile could be focused on, I dunno, penetration or ricochets?

Petition to use it on the official release (or something similiar to that). It looks so much better imo :D
