Correct, I'm utter trash at anything Ui/Art related so you do remember quite well.
Somehow I managed to made a few decent looking ones once in a blue moon but that's pretty much it: most of my mods still have hideous Ui/Art.

@zerg93 are you doing these unit icons yourself? They're really good! For whatever reason I remembered them being low quality.

I wouldn't exclude the possibility but it's not exactly something I'm very eager to make either.
The Landship's colour scheme is fixed and most of the model does not fit the Cathayan aesthetic.
Changing the crew and attaching a few random Cathayan props doesn't seem enough to me but I also don't think that changing the whole Ship's hull to something else is an option either.

I would love to see someone make a Cathayan Landship, for a lore excuse they could have bought one from Gelt and copied it. Is that a possibility?

If that's the case then no, they should be compatible and safe to use together.
