sort of, yes, but i prefer to use the term entomophage as "insectivore" implies his diet being mostly or exclusively bugs when thats not true- same reason i dont call him a carnivore even though thatd also be technically correct!

In the description of both Steam and his ingame description: "- Entomophage (eater of bugs and meat)"
For example: Blue fruit is good, as it is a bug pupa. Bubble fruit is not. Batflies are fine, but they're not ideal (bugs). There are also some other quirks, but that's the jist of it.

For some more specifics: Neuron flies > creatures that generate electricity > bugs > meat. Refuses to eat Slugcats, Cyans, or Hunterdaddies, as that's cannibalism and he's picky. Ideally, he can't eat Popcorn or Pomegranates, but that code loves to die so sometimes it works anyway.
Lore-wise, he hates eating and actually underfeeds himself, as he finds eating in general to be disgusting. His stats should be compared to Technician's in that regard, if you happen to want more character insights!

hmmm, ill see what i can do abt wall respawning, thats something i noticed but wasnt sure how to fix.
as for the steam deck, i see no reason it wouldnt work! it requires no extra keybinds or anything i can think of thatd get in the way.

but seriously, hes my favourite oc and ive wanted to make a mod with him forever. FOREVER (five years). learned coding for this and, while some room lediting may be janky and he may be a little powerful (though i did try to find a balance! i am quite proud of how he moves at this point, just needs some more tweaks in regards to sliding and slide-jumping), this mod is really my pride and joy. im SO glad you like it, and him!! i love to share him with the world.

honestly some of the reception to unbound has been crazy (in a good way), and im not usually a super-open person when it comes to my art, so its been awesome! if you ever do play him lmk and ill like uuuuuuuh cry i guess idk

Someone else had incessantly brought this mod to my attention (by my overseers thanks to the device that follows you) a few weeks ago and I wanted to leave a positive comment back then but the comments were turned off! (Understandable, I went through a lot of bs with the rw community as well.) But now I can leave a comment and say honestly the mod looks great, and I love the character! I personally don't play custom slugcat mods (maybe in the future I will) but I wholeheartedly support the development (even if I can't donate financially ;-;)

And I seem to be discovering connections in places I never thought I would discover such, it's absolutely wild how far everything reaches on the internet...

not at the moment. more is planned, but this mod is ever a work in progress. i dont generally like my own art for it, and one of the endings necessitates a new region and possibly another creature or two but you didnt hear that from me . im already making one for the intro alone (starting at KTB_STGfa if you use Warp mod and want to see some of it early), and i mostly work on this alone! its been over two years of development so far, it will likely have more.

if you want a glimpse into some future plans, though, pebbles shouldnt be the only iterator available to speak to and gamma (overseer) is supposed to be, uh... more useful, lol . not to mention the regions... aurgh........

It seems you're correct, Slugbase was inconsistently causing the Watcher disappearance issue any time it modified the character list. Interesting that it didn't cause any problem when only it was enabled and no modcats using it.
I have, however, somehow arrived back at Pearlcat + Unbound makes Pearlcat disappear from the Expedition jolly menu sometimes. It looks like Unbound MUST be above Pearlcat for them to play nice in there, so that's good to note at least.

Hi!! The issue would likely be Wingcat, it has not been updated for Watcher! Pearlcat is also a slugbase mod, but has updated.
I suspect there may be a conflict between Watcher Expedition and Slugbase, but neither are my mod, so I'm not sure I'd be too much help there, apologies ^^;

Hi, not sure what's going on but it looks like this mod is conflicting with some others for the selectable characters in Expedition's Jolly Co-op Menu when it's enabled.
Pearlcat and Watcher Expedition add their respective slugcats into the jolly menu in expeditions when you cycle through it. Whenever Unbound is enabled, both of those characters disappear from the menu, but Unbound and Technician are there (+Wingcat, another Slugbase modcat).
•Horrifyingly, making this more complicated- I disable Wingcat of all things, and Pearlcat reappears in that menu with Unbound and Technician! But not Watcher from its expedition mod.
•Alternatively I disable Watcher Expedition and re-enable Wingcat- Unbound, Technician, and Pearlcat are missing from the expedition jolly menu now, Wingcat is still there.
•Disable Watcher Expedition AND Unbound- Pearlcat and Wingcat are in the menu, all is as Andrew intended.
I don't know what's happening, and I fear I've found an eldritch spaghetti monster.

So I decided to play this for the first time since the release of the watcher, only to find that while I can open the remix config, it's like unbound doesn't actually exist (can't select their campaign as it's not there, and can't even select them in any arena mode)

thats generally an issue where something is installed incorrectly, often in multiple places at once? or the modinfo is incorrect. you could try removing the dependencies in the modinfo json, but then youll have to manually be sure that unbound loads AFTER its dependencies

@rivulet go ploink theres a few things that can cause that! some reasons for this COULD be:
- youre playing on the wrong game version (this mod has been updated to 1.10 on steam, and has had 1.9 archived on github. be sure you have the correct version for your game!)
- your game didnt load properly and just needs to restart
- your files need their integrity verified because somehow rain world autocannibalised somewhere (happens a lot more than youd think...)
- files didnt properly download from steam (unsub and resub to this. if that doesnt work, could try the dependencies)
- the horrors

maybe ill even see about tweaking the way i do dependencies slightly so that in the future youll be able to force-enable it :auimp:
