1.6 is out. But I'll wait till both SOS2 and VEE updated first before updating this patch

is this still not fixed in sos2? I haven't checked back on this mod for a while since i havent used sos2 in a while
Tomy G 5 Apr @ 11:00am
nevermind I didn't read the last part lol, I have to ignore it then:steamhappy:

I installed this one patch and the helixien gas patch after both SOS2 and both VEE and VHGE but SOS2 still shows incompatibility with these mods, what can I do? or maybe I should ignore it like one guy in the coments said. I really installed it after those mods, and tried every order possible
Jangurs 5 Apr @ 3:32am
I had just removed VEE when it said incompatible, was still somehow getting errors from animal wander events, seems like Geological Landforms mod also had events like that. Does this mod also resolve that?

@TheAnnoyingTURTLE

I put a notice on description for this FAQ issue.
Max200012 25 Sep, 2024 @ 6:39am
just ignore it then lmao
TheAnnoyingTURTLE 24 Sep, 2024 @ 10:34pm
how dose the patch work? I'm not used to using rimworld patches for mods. so, like SOS2 still says its incompatible with V.E.E while I have the mod enabled. do I just ignore that when the patch is enabled or am I doing something wrong? I feel like I'm just supposed to ignore it but I just wanna ask to make sure!
Z03 16 Sep, 2024 @ 1:44pm
thank you!

It's possible to fix it if you run a local copy of the SOS2 mod (i.e. using Rimpy mod manager). Just remove the line about incompatibility from about.xml.
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 16 Sep, 2024 @ 6:23am
@Z03 I can't do anything to solve it. The incompatibility warning is fired from SOS2 in about.xml, only SOS2 team can remove it.

And at least from my knowledge, Ludeon doesn't offer modders something allowing to do things like "if this mod exists, then no incompatibility warning in about.xml, otherwise fire warning." Maybe it's possible but I've never seen such thing yet.

But with this patch you can just ignore the warning.

im still getting a rimpy error saying sos2 and vanilla events expanded are incompatible even with the addition of this patch
ODevil 18 Aug, 2024 @ 10:19am
I see. In that case Dragons Decent's "Dragon Hunting" also can spawn archo animals. I also had them appear in caravans, they can be ridden if using Giddy-Up 2 so that might be the issue here.
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 2:11pm
@ODevil In SOS2 the first breeding pair of each archo animals is supposed to be generated exclusively by archolife pods, which are designed as a rare and precious item. It s only available as random gift after unlocking archo tech tree, or very rarely via some quests of high threat points. Getting them directly from random wandering animals is certainly game breaking
ODevil 5 Aug, 2024 @ 11:21am
Thanks for the patches. But how exactly does getting free archo-animals break the game anyway?
Elementaruss 18 Jul, 2024 @ 12:50pm
Thx for the patch!

UPDATE:

Now Rimnauts 2 celestial bodies are also considerred as SOS2 space maps

@ᛚᚢᚲᛟᚨᚾ Sorry I don't update or patch mods I don't use myself.

Also I ve looked at the SOS2 documentation, Use Minified Buildings has mechanics conflict with SOS2 ship movement. This kind of incompatibility is usually one of the hardest kind to fix, unlike the patches I made which just delete some map objects or prevent some events from firing.
ᛚᚢᚲᛟᚨᚾ 23 Jun, 2024 @ 11:53am
can you make a compat patch between SOS2 and Use Minified Buildings?

@阿伟 you can try it but I dont think it will work

Can version 1.4 use this mod? Mods for version 1.5 are too few for me
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 14 Jun, 2024 @ 7:10am
@TeH_Dav At least not for now, other VE incompatibilites listed in SOS2 documentation involve some much more complicated changes than just preventing some events or deleting inappropriate objects. Some VE mods I myself don't know about them for I never used them in the past, no idea about there feature, nor on which VE functions I can apply Harmony reflection to alter these features.
And I also have my own mod to work on
TeH_Dav 13 Jun, 2024 @ 9:58pm
I'm curious, do you plan on making mods to address the other incompatibilties? Or even merging this into the SOS2 mod?
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 9 Jun, 2024 @ 9:08am
Not sure psychic rain may still happen, this is something I cant test by dev mode (dev mode will force it whatever the trigger condition). I also have no control of VEF behavior.

But in case it happens the script will terminate it immediately. Its still better that VE team prevent it from the source in their framework.

It only affects space map, regular ones will still have psychic rain as usual
turkler 8 Jun, 2024 @ 12:58pm
great mod
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 4:32pm
@Hoki I didn't verify myself for all VEE events, but from the SOS2 documentation below, only these two VEE events are mentioned as incompatible.

My patch code is fully based on what's reported in SOS2 doc
Hoki 7 Jun, 2024 @ 4:29pm
so the incompatiblity is just those 2 events?
Ionfrigate12345  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:51pm
@toradrow777 Patches by 3rd party is not so easy and not always feasible. For VE these are what I can do by chance, the best ways is always to implement directly in VE framework by VE authors. For CE I never use it myself so I have no knowledge about the patch.

There is a more up to date SOS2 compatible mod list.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dQ6ywPVqfu2JPzHz_wNGd09yeBHlaqnO2uCiV7G_kqc/edit#gid=0

Some of my newly patched mods in my workshop are already on the compatible list, others not yet.
toradrow777 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:48pm
I'm basing my suggestions on this link [docs.google.com], and I'm not sure how up to date it is.
toradrow777 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:45pm
Oh, and a patch for Combat Extended once 1.5 is out of beta. Assuming they don't patch it on their end.
toradrow777 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:44pm
Now all we need are patches for EGI Holograms, VFE Deserters, VFE Pirates, More Archotech Garbage (Continued), Altered Carbon, Tabula Rasa, and SRTS Expanded and that's pretty much my mod list sorted.
ferny 7 Jun, 2024 @ 3:23pm
Thanks this is great
