Bug: EXALT reinforcements crash game

On missions with EXALT squad sitrep, when EXALT reinforcements get teleported in via purple vortex, it crashes my game.

The teleportation itself doesn´t even happen. The game just instantly crashes on the alien turn.

EXALT reinforcements dropping in via red flare by advent dropship has worked fine up to now.

This has happened on two missions thus far: extract survivors from abandoned city (Map: TLP rescue the DJ mission) and rescue resistance contact (Map: Subway).

Help or advice appreciated. If anything about this has been mentioned on Odds playthrough, please enlighten me. I am not up-to-date with all episodes.

Im not really a fan of the amalgam class mod. It just feels like I have multiples of the same classes with one or two different skills.Would this campaign work without them?

Huh, I thought the list was changed (through the S8 Tweaks mod?) to only allow a maximum of 6 DEs. Might be good to double-check Steam doesn't have any updates pending. (note: not 100% on this all)

I am into mid campaign currently (Force level is at 11-12 and killing damaged avatar is not done yet). Every freaking second there is a new mission, which either delaying or countering the dark event. There is at least 8 dark event getting prepared right now and I did not miss a single counter or delaying mission on this campaign. The problem is, roster is not enough although fully upgraded. Isn't dark events are too much? Am I supposed to allow some of the dark event to went through so that in long run, there is more problems? Or is it like a "get good" position that I am in? Somebody enlighten me please!

I believe the faction class trees are also semi-randomized, might've gotten unlucky there?

Forgot which mod it's from, but there should be one in the mod config menu that has an option for tactical healing. Try turning that off if it's enabled, that's the primary suspect for another very similar issue right now.

Today my soldiers started to get wounded after every mission, even while not taking any enemy fire. It seems the wound is as big as the armor adds HP. Does not effect units with Kevlar basic armor, as it does not add anz HP. Any ideas what could be the reason?

Should be, just make sure you're not on a mission. The game will complain that a mod is missing, but you can go to the save menu and click the "unbind" button at the top. After that, load the save it just created and save over your old save(s) to permanently hide the message.

Also, general tip for people reading: Make sure to keep multiple saves. I'd recommend creating a set of like 5 of them, and cycling between them. (the game gets kinda cranky when it has to deal with big lists of things)

Just had a nasty issue earlier where one of my saves got corrupted (game suddenly slowed down a ton and the save became 8x its old size), and was really happy to have those older saves. Also helps in case the game rolls a mission that causes crashes. (though this mod list is probably pretty safe there)

@srclamp: The white screen issue is due to Improved Camera, toss that out to fix it.

I'm not sure how to move forward, the codex brain coordinates are on the other side of the world and It will be impossible to reach I would be already difficult because I have to build stations near to make contact, but adding the scanning time for each station it is impossible! and I cant move forward on the story

Going through mod list to see what one is causing white screen issue and noticed that Plot Gated Chosen Mod controls when the Chosen Stronghold missions appear, so you may want to read the mod description as dont want to post spoilers here

@Abruptsnake - Looks like you have to advance the story, I was able to get second stage to appear once I completed Blacksite, not got any further so don't know what story mission allows you to actually raid the chosen stronghold?

Having issues with white screen bug appearing a lot

Can clear with reload but it is inconvenient to say the least, especially if happens at end of your turn

The two conflicts are normal, as are the missing dependencies. Both are handled by other mods, or through the included S8 Tweaks mod. Reload Rework was removed later in the playthrough. (though you can still add it if you want it, like I did -- it'll work fine)

@srclamp I'm having this issue too. I don't get the final hunt the chosen CIs, which then stops me from going to fight them, which then results in their knowledge maxing out. can't see a mod in the list that might cause it

Anyone else having issues with the "recruit faction soldier" covert action? I keep doing the covert action but I never actually end up getting a reward from it. I lost my Reaper and I can't get another one :(

Exalt soldiers show up with the default classes instead of the mod classes and when I kidnap them they have the same classes in my roster, anyone encountered this?

Hey everyone! Anyone getting black screens occasionally? Icons are still visible, but everything else isn't. I think I've noticed it happen on advent's turn. Although, a save and load fixes it, even while saving during a black screen.

I get an error saying Error detected trying to load Mechtronic Warfare Perk Pack so as its linked to Sparks this is my assumption?

I had a quick skim of the mod pack and it looks like the main changes to difficulty come from Covert Intelligence, some various new enemies types and specific unique mission types getting an overhaul.

this will be fine in a lower difficulty, the general stat boost and smaller pods from difficulty settings should be enough and there is even a mod that slows force level progression in lower difficulties so those new enemies will show up later in your campaign.

I recommend turning on Time Turner and/or Lengthy Scheme options in the advanced options menu during start up, which doubles length of mission timers and avatar project.

This should give you enough breathing room to focus on just paying the game and not worrying so much about rushing.

you could also disable the mod No Stat Boosts From Covert Actions. This will let your soldiers get some permanent stat boosts just by doing covert actions. I'm like 95% sure it's safe to remove as is.
