I really can not give this mod enough praise and credit, it truly changed the game and made it a lot better. Im not playing X-Rebirth without this installed. THANKS.

I was wondering that same thing actually. He's not worried about his ships shield, he doesn't like the extra speed on the booster I believe. I think it's way too fast, enough that I guess I can deal with the shield drain from vanilla because such an overpowered booster kills the immersion of navigation.

If you do tweak it to make a version that boosts at the regular speed, I'd be interested though!

No sorry, the mods are not recent and I have more time to return it. Shield consumption is already very low over it decreased further by improving the ship's shield.

Oh! And by the way - i did not encounter any boundries in the game - i Flew around planets and gas giants without any bugs... So far no boundries.

People! I have found a very interesting thing! It is possible to fly between zones without the use of the super highways. I saw the screenshots made by the mod creator - and i tried to fly between the two sectors - it almost worked! I found myself near Nividium asteroids somewhere near the zone. So if there are asteroids - and not empty space - this means I did it - the zone is there! As soon as I will get more results - i will post screensaves and details - by the way - it took me 25.000 kilometers to fly and less then 2 minutes

Can you do a version with a superhighway speed? the superhighway through me out in the middle of nowhere and autopilot takes too long sometimes even with your booster. It still gets me back to normal space though eventually ^^

Love this mod Works Great,

minor problem with prolonged use, my pilot won't sit back again and some of the status screens get cut off, Easily fixed by getting out of pilot chair and back in. (Crew Quarters)

I Play the Big Space Mod without Lanes, only the Blue Highways are Ingame ;) The integrated Booster Mod in the Bigspace Mod does not work in 3.10. that is why I am looking for a Booster Mod with npc ship support^^

Careful how you update and play with this please, egosoft are not going to remove the zone boundary lines where you cross from a zone to empty space. This means the faster you go, the more chance you have of being pushed 32million M away from where you were. (it's called null space, the space between zoned space, and empty space, just for the sake of giving it a name)

only the ship of the player is concerned, I did test for NPC but it makes the game unplayable seen they use their boost to flee.

By popular demand, I did an update and I add a few options.
News: boost lasts longer, this expense level of your shield.
The maximum speed has also been increased and acceleration.

I really miss this mod in 3.0

In 2.5 it worked great and I could boost for a long time in highways cutting down the time I had to spend getting from place to place. In 3.0 it doesn't feel like the booster works, my mk4 behemoth shields run out in seconds. I hope this mod gets updated, otherwise I may have to grab a transport, fill it with fuel cells, dock, and tell it where to go all the time.

Could you upload an alternative Version of this mod with only 25% of the Vanilla shield-consumption? In 3.0 especially early in the game with these weak shields it runs out of energy too fast. Or could you modify it so it lowers the shield consumption while the Skunk is in a highway?

They probably changed the system to boost the 3.0. As I already said, I expect the final version to update or change it.

I just noticed that Beta 5 came out yesterday. I bet that has something to do with it.
Currently re-installing the game. didn't know it was so large... if this doesn't work then it must be the new beta version. I tried removing all subscriptions except this one and starting a new game with the same problem. that removed the possability of just that save game and issues with other mods. Game just finished installing, going to try it now.

@Goo: Check under Extension in the game menu... when I first installed it I thought it wasn't working... then for a completely different reason I went under Extensions and saw it was not checked off. It should uncheck itself... but who knows.

Sometimes my ship stutters after using the afterburner. I dont know if it is possible to fix it, but it would be nice. :)

Good Mod... but I'd love to see a Mod that prevents the Shields from being drained at all. Sorry, but that has never made any sense to me; other than getting from Point A to Point B quickly; AfterBurners are used to either A) Get to a fight quickly... or B) Get out of a Fight quickly. with A, you're entering a fight with Shields Low... with B, you can't get out of a fight that you're losing, because if you're losing you're shields are probably down, in which case, your Afterburn doesn't even work.

I understand balance in a game... but seriously... who would wire the Afterburn to Shields. Now if the afterburn was wired to the Shield Regeration System, preventing the shields from recharging while in Afterburn... I could understand that.

So any chance of a second Mod which doesn't leave you vulnerable when flying into a fight; and allows you to get out of fight???

It's just garbage without any mods. It really could have been a great game if the devs seemed to care a little more.
