@MaxtheMushroom you have to increase it by spending reputation points with the mission officer on the favors tab, it is a vanilla game mechanic btw

Not sure if this is just me but when i start a new game if i go under the crew tab it says max officers 5/5, sailors on board is out of 30 like it should be. Have not checked if it will let me add officers later on but currently it does not seem to allow me to add officers from the recruitment guy when i start a new game. Game version is: 2025.1.1 patch 4

Oh, I think I forgot to updte the Type II

Back then only a single cook was enough with no need to alternate shifts (The crew desnt has tiredeness btw, you can just have a cook on the galley 24/7)

Also, in the Type 7 the dive plane guys are the cleaners at the surface

the numbers you have for the crew assignments don't add up,
Type ll there's 20 crew available but that setup requires 21
Vll there's 30 crew available but only 28 are used, so you could set the extra 2 to cleaning

Go talk to the crew recruitment officer or press "Crew" at the top right menu

Then, go to the tasks and press the white hat to manage work priorities

The schedule tab is used to manage when they work and rest (Not needed for sailors)

And the Squad tab manages how many sailors are assigned to each Schedule or Officer

You have to make sure you enabled crew management once you start a new save

Then, go to either the recruitment officer or the drop down menu on the upper eight corner and enter the crew management, I recommend you watching some tutorials on youtube first as it can be tricky

The kitchen mod can go in any order btw

ok ya i figured it out i had to reinstall all my mods because one that i deleted dint delete but next question how do you do all the settings with the sailors like assigning them as cooks i really cant find the setting

In my experience anyone with TB has to be taken to a port and sent to the hospital before you can use the blocked tube again

Hay, having a touch of a problem with the TB event. The guy is stuck sleeping in my bow torpedo room which is preventing me from servicing 2 of my bow torpedos. People in another thread I made indicated that this is NOT vanilla behavior.

Notably this was the case before I picked up any survivors.

IF YOU EVER GET INTO THIS SITUATION: don't fire the blocked torpedos unless you really can't help it. Instead fire the other two and reload those. Save your blocked torps until you are dry on reloads so you keep your maximum firepower for longer.

I'm so glad I came back to the page and saw the breathe easier mod, this should make things a LOT easier, loving this mod and I think Imma love it even more now.

Side Note: I was wondering if you'd be open to the possibility of making a shitpost version with a huge cap of like 40+ crew per sub or maybe a huge officer cap so it's just nothing but officers.

Ich bevorzuge es, für jede Matrosenstation zwei Schichten zu je 6 Stunden Arbeit/Ruhe/Arbeit/Ruhe zu machen, wie in der Beschreibung des Mods angegeben, während für die Offiziere so ziemlich das Gleiche gilt, außer dass die Navigationsstation nur eine Arbeit/Ruhe/Arbeit/Ruhe Schicht

Frage: Ist es möglich (mit Modifikationen), eine realistischere (historische) Verteilung der Matrosen zu erreichen. Das heißt, die Möglichkeit, die (von mir persönlich ausgewählten) Matrosen auf zwei getrennte Wachen zu verteilen (1. Seewache in drei Schichten 4 Stunden Dienst in 8 Stunden Ruhe; 2. Maschinenwache in zwei Schichten sechs in sechs Stunden) ?

Talk to the mission officer and ask for a favor, the menu will appear, and after buying the two vanilla "Increase Officer Limit", you will unlock two more at the bottom of the favours list

Oh! Officer limit, though you were talking about the limit of sailors per officer

You still need to spend 1 reputation point to increase officer limit, the only difference is that you can do that two extra times with this mod

Hmm, interesting but, have you tested without the mod? I'm almost sure that would also happen in vanilla, let me explain:

Potassium absorvers restore Air Quality

Compressors drain the Air Quality very quick when underwater

Therefore, potassiums absorvers would just continue to restore the Air Quality, not the air itself

In the second page of Beathe Easier comment section, someone made a big deal out of this but the creator doesn't seem interested or able to fix it

Basically using the potassium absorbers lets you completely restore compressed air however many times you want. They are supposed to absorb CO2, not LITERALLY increase the actual oxygen. That means you can use this to fully replenish the compressed air to blow the tanks, as many times as you want.

The values for each sailors are the same as vanilla, which means that the more you put on board the less oxygen you gonna get

With a full crew and only the starting officers on a Type VII, without the breath easier mod, you get 5h58m underwater

Do I need to use the 'Breathe easier' mod with this? That mod has a weird quirk/bug that is unacceptable for me and I don't want to use it. What is the maximum possible submerged time, only using the Bigger Crew mod? Is it the same as vanilla or does the extra crew consume extra oxygen?
