The coastline of rocky planets is too fragmented, which is a bit unrealistic.
Some planets have thick clouds.

Sorry guys. It's impulsive but I'm done. Keep the clown awards comin'
> Centri [author] Jun 21 @ 4:21am
unlisted until I can run SE on NixOS/Unix. I am not proud of the current state of this mod and cannot update it. The source code was meant to be converted to Rust but I cannot without SE working. So, if you are still subscribed, congrats. I'm done. Feel free to redistribute according to the license of all of my mods.
animationfan13 23 Jun @ 10:02am

Jonathan 14 Jan @ 1:00pm

Lawis14 14 Jan @ 12:49pm
could you explain what this mod does?
Hafnium 12 Dec, 2024 @ 6:42pm
The clouds aren't clouding!

They are taking forever to load.
Jonathan 7 Dec, 2024 @ 2:38pm
cache is in the GAME FILES
Dogfoster 7 Dec, 2024 @ 10:30am
where's the cache again?
Jonathan 5 Dec, 2024 @ 3:24pm

Centri  [author] 29 Nov, 2024 @ 4:21pm
Unsubscribe and remove the cache
Pastamasta 29 Nov, 2024 @ 12:17am

Brother #FloridaStrong 27 Nov, 2024 @ 11:45pm
No
Jonathan 27 Nov, 2024 @ 8:07pm
will you add skibidi toilet to planets?
Centri  [author] 27 Oct, 2024 @ 10:35am
Update moment btw
Centri  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 4:15am
Indeed. After the next update it's best to add new comparisons and screenshots, these were the ones I had at hand from the competition
Sp_ce  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 4:10am
The planets shown in the slideshow aren't procedural
Dogfoster 21 Oct, 2024 @ 6:50pm
Planet names..?
plutonianempire 19 Oct, 2024 @ 1:02am
I kinda like the ice cream giants tbh lol
Magi 15 Oct, 2024 @ 8:35pm
Noted.
Centri  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 7:02pm
This is also something that should be added to this mod - the same palettes, but more washed out.
Centri  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 6:56pm
Palette issue instead of a rodrigos issue. Default palettes rely on an upper cloud layer to wash it out which also doesn't have to exist (and usually doesn't, so you result in these planets with too high contrast anyway). The palettes need to be updated instead (which is possible in a mod) to remove this admittedly awful way of removing contrast. On top of that, the lower layers still have immense contrast anyway, and they mesh terribly.
Magi 15 Oct, 2024 @ 5:19pm
wish it didn't make every gas giant look like a flavor of ice cream
Centri  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 10:04pm
Improving lacustrines' seas was planned at one point, but would likely be a separate mod.
benandcoopersdad 25 Sep, 2024 @ 2:55pm
Could you make it so that on lacustrine worlds, the sea level isn't over a hundred meters below the lowest point on land?
UltraLore 12 Sep, 2024 @ 3:16pm
you could install the palettes mod
tygical (donovanob1) 12 Sep, 2024 @ 2:44pm
is there a way to use this mod without all the really weird palettes since having bright orange and black clouds and stuff is kinda weird
Not Chris 2 Sep, 2024 @ 5:19pm
Ah ok
Centri  [author] 2 Sep, 2024 @ 2:58am
This is really an SE issue and isn't something that can be reliably fixed by us.
Not Chris 1 Sep, 2024 @ 10:19pm
I think this mod is GREAT. The clouds look amazing from space but on the land of a planet they look pretty ehhh...
Lawis14 22 Aug, 2024 @ 4:31pm
im new to files and stuff, what do you mean by "remove the cache"?
urmomonmyblog 25 Jul, 2024 @ 9:33am
downloaded this and the amod and nothing changes. i deleted the cache folder any help ??
ettore.bilbo 22 Jul, 2024 @ 1:30am
That's how big they are in vanilla SE. I want to make them smaller (also revamp the shader) and I have in the past, but I haven't properly done so yet.

ok, sorry... totally agree with you :steamhappy:
Jamsheed 21 Jul, 2024 @ 7:11pm
why have the clouds for planets changed?
Centri  [author] 21 Jul, 2024 @ 1:34am

"gas giants have been overhauled! Credit to gmail99 for the original 0.980 shaders, which I iterated upon. Gas giants now have multiple cloud layers instead of the upper layers being fog, so now gas giants should look a lot more dynamic."

a little too much in my opinion...

I like that volcanoes no longer pop up like mushrooms in the middle of the ocean, but on some planets they are really too big! cause various glitches
Centri  [author] 17 Jul, 2024 @ 7:30pm
That is not a link, that's supposed to be a file path. lol
Centri  [author] 17 Jul, 2024 @ 7:29pm
I don't think so. IIRC his mod only edits the heightmap and not the colormap of gas giants, so you'd have this weird, buggy mix of the two even if the file modification times are good (as in, plutonianempire's was edited last)

You can, however, remove tg_gasgiant_color.glsl and tg_gasgiant_height.glsl from workshop/3267339304/RMR.pak/shaders . Then they're compatible.
Jonathan 16 Jul, 2024 @ 2:12pm
is the mod compatible with plutonian empire terrain generation mod (ONLY GAS GIANTS)???
Centri  [author] 16 Jul, 2024 @ 1:51pm
I fixed a bug regarding them on the repository, but I didn't upload it here. Maybe the "little weird" thing is just how they look now, but I think uploading the bugfix will work.
UltraLore 16 Jul, 2024 @ 10:31am
why are the clouds of terrestrial planets a little weird?
sirius2029 16 Jul, 2024 @ 2:49am
OK, very good. All clear. Thank you very much for the excellent work and the quick update.
Jonathan 15 Jul, 2024 @ 8:29pm
there is gonna be a big update?
Centri  [author] 15 Jul, 2024 @ 4:01pm
fixed, this version contained a WIP change that pretty clearly needs additional work
sirius2029 15 Jul, 2024 @ 6:15am
Why do subterranes in the landscape now contain the patterns of gas giants?
Centri  [author] 14 Jul, 2024 @ 9:06pm
One more update for tonight (probably)
- snowLevel now works on selenas
- gas giants have been overhauled! Credit to gmail99 for the original 0.980 shaders, which I iterated upon. Gas giants now have multiple cloud layers instead of the upper layers being fog, so now gas giants should look a lot more dynamic.
Jonathan 14 Jul, 2024 @ 7:57pm
thanks
