Anyone else having an issue where the recruitment building isnt working as intended? Units from the tier two building become unrecruitible when i upgrade it to tier 3

Green Phoenix is making a few Chaos Dwarfs units and that is one that he has. A whole complete model based on the old models from tabletop. It should release soonish.

for the hero, some ideas would be

it's mentioned in lore they have shamans so that'd be an easy one. currently chaos dwarfs have only 1 magic hero so it wouldn't be too much.

a wolf-chariot hero would work as well, could just be a 'hobgoblin chieftain', similar to gorduz and goblin big boss.

Your mod is great! I only have 2 issues and 1 question. Your hobgoblin khan models are amazing BUT them having facial hair is very archaic and super old lore. Green skins cannot grow hair naturally. Gorduz backstabber a chieftain and he lacks any hair. So I think not having facial hair on them would be an improvement. Another neat thing would be if this mod also changed the eyes of the hobgoblins to that of Gorduzes eyes. I never liked the big kawaii eyes they gave to hobgoblins when other greenskins got no pupils. I did edit your mod for my personal use, did remove the beards, but when i changed the eyes out on the khans, they seem to be eyeless in game. Not sure what causes that. AND a question out of curiosity. How did you make the khans skincolor a different shade of green? They look so much better than the super bright regular hobgobbos.

That's true, but it's just that I want a whole fraction of hobgoblins with legendary lord, but it doesn't exist, I have to have a dwarf lord and your mod is the best with these units

Hello. Im not sure how the modding on this game works but i was wondering if theres any way to change the hobgoblin spear apears and archers to be made without using the models of the cavalry. The Chaos Dwarf reskin which changes much about the hobgoblins also entirley changes the cavalry and because they use the cavalry models these units dont get many of the benefits of the other hobgobin infantry using the mods. this is super specific and probably impossible but I CAME TO ASK ANYWAYS. awesome mod though.

I'd like to suggest adding a smal anti-large for Hobgobbo Warrior weapon (5-6) and "Discouraged" contact effect for Archers.

Love this mod, always a fan of mods that add more early game variety. I know you said you probably won't add more units, but Wolf Chariots would be appropriate for the whole mongol theme, and there's a super old model of a Hobgoblin Bolt Thrower artillery piece so, maybe a Hobgoblin Hwacha?

The hero would certainly be a appreciated, A Replenishment Hero would be very handy for the Chorfs in general since they have exactly one in the form of Gorduz, so some kind of Hobgoblin Archer Hero who buffs ranged units (like the Engineer heroes) would fill that spot.

I dont understand the usefulness of these units.

The archers are a minimun improvement over the normal archers, but they lose the fire arrows for a little more range and 2 more of dps. The warriors are a minimal improvement too.

Can you do a sword and shield version of the hobgoblin warriors, or reskin the cutthroats unit in the game. I do not really like how the cutthroats are not wearing any armor, although I like the swords that they have. Thank you for your time.

Contrary to some I think the units are fine, but kinda similar (yet usually weaker in comparison) to second tier units from The Hobgoblin Legion mod. I like that they are not the same, and have their abilities filling some rooster gaps - still having use even when you get to tier 3 hobgoblins.

But in most ways they feel more of a "hobgoblin only" army material, especially for archers not being able to use the flammable effects and other flame resistance debuffs making the flaming attacks good for chaos dwarfs.

If that was your target - then they do their job well, but their potential in mixed armies is rather lower than wanilla units.

But i feel like for such boost in a bunch of stats their price incease is kinda small in comparison to vanilla, but at the same time they dont feel like delivering as much more as statcard would suggest, but i havent played with them for long enough to say for sure.

np. i think warriors should have slightly better defense, being armored and with spears. while the new archers idk i think their counterpart wins big time due to the flamable arrows.

yes, i was trying it out just now. the units look great. i tried a 1v1 cut throats vs warriors, and cut throats always won. same with like 2 new archers vs 1 original archers and they stood no chance. just giving a little feedback :)

I had thought of a Shaman and Assassin type hero. This isn't as simple as just throwing stuff together. I need to come up with models and do the cards and stuff. These take creativity and time, I lack the creativity part. I usually base the stuff I make on existing art. I want to do at least one hero but we will see.

in the lore the Hobgoblins have Shamans who are like discount Chaos Dwarf Sorcerers, in that they bind Wind Spirits and Wind Sprites. This has never been represented on the Table Top as far as I know, but you could try to kit bash the Little and Big WAAAGH lores of magic, and boom, Hobgoblin Shaman Hero.

If you're looking for hero ideas, I have thoughts (no idea if any of these are lore friendly since I don't really pay attention to lore :P ) I think if you make only one, it should have a skill line that buffs hobgoblins in the army (maybe nothing big since they could theoretically be spammed).
Shaman, eventually rides a wolf. Hobgoblins give me Shadow vibes but I could see Beasts as well.
Sniper, eventually rides a wolf. If it doesn't start with stalk and snipe, it should get access to them relatively early on.
Do hobgoblins have access to a giant monster? I'd love to see a monstrous generic hero (something like an arachnaroc spider but as a hero rather than a unit).

Agree with Ran, a Hobgoblin Khanate mod would be fantastic! It would fill a hole in Total War Warhammer: a faction with a light cavalry focus. The Hobgoblin Khanate (as the not-Mongols) would take that roll easily.

My bad, yea, just had to end the turn on a save game. The Hobgoblin Archers are missing the "backstabber trait" + "malign authority" trait
