@[2nd-AD] Xytal Riz I don't think you can buy it as a drone for your existing sub but you can buy it as a new sub. You will have to use the sub editor to add the drone to your sub (link to a powered docking port), optionally place "Dronefin Remote Setup" item assembly for remote controls and have Dronefin mod enabled.

@◤La◢ I edited the dimensions of the hull via an item assembly XML file then had drag and drop the XML file to the sub editor to spawn the 1x1 hull in!

Am i able to buy and add this to a sub mid campaign (noticed shops in tier 2 region have remote shuttle terminals for sale), or do i need to use sub editor and add the dronefin to it?

@Dragon_born this is the drone for @Rendoe's Hourglass submarine. the drone design is based off the real-life Hourglass dolphin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hourglass_dolphin

Maybe, Zyleand's was referenced for the braking system (the constant to normalise the velocity into 0-100 vector & the ballast to volume ratio) and the following system (optimised a bit further) but it does differ on integration and other features such as the 4 ways (remote & direct, periscope/terminal) controls, the auto docking on the drone for both periscope and terminal control, the need to refill ammunition, the magnetism to keep players on when ridding the drone and not be shocked by discharge coil as well as the chaingun cycling variant etc.

@Spazz (Rafał) It uses a flooded 1x1 hull at the eye with gaps (about 3 pixels pass the 1x1 hull) on all directions and a large gap for the 'magnetic zone' so that it won't affect the nbl or volume that much as a side effect. Entering the 1x1 hull at the eye allows you to move with the drone and not take indoor discharge coil damage where you seem to have the same effect of being in a (flooded) hull until you leave the zone of the large 'magnetic' gap! A 0 hp wall hidden behind the 1x1 hull extends the entering zone of the magnetism. Flooded hulls with 0hp walls won't have collisions allowing turrets to also shoot through although it still does collide with sub hulls or cave grounds!

The main issue would be figuring out a control switch for it. The simplest one would be to replace the laser with the chaingun or add an extra button to switch between pulse/chaingun. I will try to experiment with alternative switching methods within the periscope.

@Satan Do you mean for the turret? I could try another variant by adding/replacing it with a chaingun on its mouth instead but its 360 degree coverage may look awkward so could limit its range to the right side only.

Thanks for noticing, I updated it and fixed the issue. I accidentally used my sub's custom terminal instead of the one included in the drone for the item assembly. The drone uses a modded shuttle navigation terminal to have 3 buttons instead of 1 in order to be compatible and configurable with real sonar mod.

@AzureFish You have to become 'magnetised' (it basically acts as if you're in a flooded hull) by swimming to the eye where the effect lasts until you leave the 'magnetic zone' of the large gap. It's best to swim up to the eye then pause a bit but it's not always as reliable where it may take a few attempts. I tried increasing the entering zone by using 0hp walls where I'm still experimenting for better ways!
