Encountered a bug: if you do the golden fly maze bypass after completing the maze normally, it blocks the skull puzzle

Finally!!! More Magellan

Feedback (2/2):
The only other issue I had was with the icons (on the boat?) that give the order for the bookshelf puzzle. I couldn't find the icons anywhere (I checked all the boats I could find, including in the book, still don't know where the icons were supposed to be), I ended up using the guide to get the answer.

But again, overall, REALLY FUN! Excellent job!

Feedback (1/2) (because apparently I have too much to say XD ): the compass was pretty glitchy, but I don't think that was your fault! I've had similar glitches on other rooms with the same compass model. I would have been a little less frustrated with the whole thing if there had been a more visual clue connecting the compass with echolocation , I would never have figured that out without the guide!

This may have been something about our computers, but my sister and I couldn't see the starry sky through the telescope. We just saw a super bright, super washed-out screen. We could grab the planet (which made us laugh so hard!) but the star puzzle was impossible because we couldn't see the stars. Again, that might not be anything on your end, especially because I don't see anyone else mentioning an issue with it.

Fun map! There were a few frustrating parts, but overall, nicely built, with a great variety of puzzles types! I LOVED the multiple endings! That was such a fun twist!

The guide you put out was the perfect blend of hints to keep us going and solutions for when we were truly stuck. The level was BEAUTIFUL and detailed and well designed! You also did a great job making sure there were no spots to glitch through or get stuck!

I’m going to put my feedback in another comment, because I can’t get it under the character limit :steamhappy:

But even with the glitches, we had a blast playing this room, and I'm SUPER impressed that it was your first room!

@Popo, awesome, thanks! I love the flavor added to each treasure's ending. A lot of funny twists.

@RonJonJovi Glad you enjoyed the map! I didn't think the map would do nearly as good as it did so I never added a way to see the other endings.

I just added a section to the end of the guide with all the ending texts.

I pretty much echo what everyone else is saying. Very fun room with a lot of solid puzzles, but a few were a bit of a stretch ( the books and the moving letters, for example ). Overall, I definitely enjoyed it, though.

Is there a way to see the other endings without playing through the entire thing again? It seemed like there would be a different ending based on whichever treasure you grab , so it looks like there are a lot of them. Even if you posted a video or screenshot of the final frame for each one, that'd be nice to see without having to play through the whole thing again.

You get an award from me! This room is quite good and well rounded puzzle wise. The fact that its your first room is astounding. Great job! There are a few blemishes and things that could be improved, but they are not game breaking, so I won't list them here. The one game breaker I found was if you put the coconut together before putting the lime in, you can't put the coconut back together again. I highly suggest joining Pine's discord server. We have a great builder community always willing to help each other out with troubleshooting and testing rooms before publish! Either way, please keep building rooms!

I really enjoyed this room - fantastic job for your first go at it too! I also genuinely laughed out loud at a couple of the items in the last room.

Just released a guide full of hints and solutions for each puzzle.
Hopefully no one will get stuck now.
This is my first map so thanks for all of the feedback and reviews guys.

Really good map. Love the different rooms and puzzles.
Jaydubs 17 Jun, 2024 @ 1:26pm
Wow, this map is really tough. I'm stuck. It's so good though!!
Chikara 17 Jun, 2024 @ 9:12am
It is truly an amazing first map! I would have been proud if I could put 4 walls straight! You have a great talent for this so please make more!
Popo 434  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 6:19pm
@chikara
I'm fixing the coconut bug now, thanks for pointing that out.
It's my first map so I'm not really sure how i would go about adding a reset to a puzzle like the firefly labyrinth, best i could do was have the walls raise so you wouldn't have to backtrack the whole thing at least.

I'm glad you liked the level though, really enjoyed making it and filling it with dumb little jokes.
Thanks for the feedback!
Chikara 16 Jun, 2024 @ 5:33pm
Part 2: The star did not shoot for me in the telescope so that is just a fixed picture (saw it do that in the walkthrough). And I put the coconut together first so I had to cheat and grab the skull without solving the puzzle. Also if you fail the firefly labyrinth it would be great if it reset by itself so you don't have to drag it back to the start.

That being said, I think this is a wonderful map and you have clearly put in a lot of effort into creating this treasure hunt with multiple endings, a TON of puzzles, cheeky humor, hidden things and many things to explore. Well done!
Chikara 16 Jun, 2024 @ 5:33pm
A very ambitious map and a wonderful world you have created! Remarkable bug free in with so much content.

Some puzzles were easier to make sense of than others. I would never have guessed the Deity and since the stars are showing in two places it was difficult to figure out which one to use and where to start. That the letters under the ship moved to get the password for the chest, to put a lime inside the coconut and the portraits where a bit too difficult - for me at least .

Some things are difficult to click or interract with so you might be fooled that you are doing the wrong thing that you have to pull the cork on the bottle for example instead of clicking it and the books in the moving bookcase .
Chikara 16 Jun, 2024 @ 4:30pm
I put the coconut together before putting the lime in it Is there a way to open it again?
Popo 434  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 12:17pm
@hyponix
The compass has a button that makes the sound of each statue in its spot.
The human is on a rock by the dock on the other side of the ladder into the tomb and the cat is inside of a rock in the starting zone, you have to play its sound once before spin the compass until the letter C pops up and click the audio button
hyponix 16 Jun, 2024 @ 12:02pm
i a missing two of the guardian statues, only have the dragon and the eagle??
Popo 434  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 11:13am
@silentforcepower Thanks for the walkthrough.

I just went in and fixed the star puzzle that was causing disappearing/duplicate stars.
It should be much more easily solvable the intended way now.

Thanks for the feedback and review :steamthumbsup:

Here is a walkthrough video. It is not perfect but it may help.

Finally, I completed it, but unfortunately I got the bad ending. I forgot to take the bomb and shotgun before I go to the vault which I think they can be used to blow the rocks inside the vault. Overall, this is really great map and one of the best treasure hunt adventure in Escape simulator. Except the stars puzzle, all the other puzzles are great. I liked the last puzzle in Trinidad painting. It is original and clever idea. Thank you very much for your effort and please, make more maps.
Popo 434  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 7:23am
@hyponix
Yep, one more painting!
In the cabinet with the wood block puzzle on top is a copy of treasure island with a map on the back with a X of where to dig
hyponix 16 Jun, 2024 @ 7:07am
it is a tricky one for sure! I missing one of the paintings. I got the one from the bed room and the from the first section by the chess board...is there another one somewhere as well??? from silentforcepower's video it looks like it is magellan shirtless riding a wave?
Popo 434  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 4:23am
@silentforcepower
Yeah sorry if its a bit tricky, this is my first map so hopefully I'll get better at it. Thanks for sticking with it. You are on the last 3 puzzles real puzzles, then just the treasure room and learning your fate

Leave a comment when you finish it, I'm going to make a guide with hints later to help with the map and would love to here your thoughts on it overall.

The Volume M sailing book contains the hints for each ship, the boat marker being in relation to the San Antonio's fate.
Solution. Place the boat marker on Chile on the globe next to the painting.

Hint for the last step of that puzzle.
The Trinidad painting contains the code to the chest.

The red text in the blue book is the clue within it, and it acts as a clue to both the scale cabinet puzzle and the star puzzle.
Hint to star puzzle Check out the sky in the painting of the Victoria
Solution The star strings heights are 2 1 3 0 4 0 3 1 2. the code is symmetrical with the center star facing closest to the telescope.

Hint to the scale cabinet puzzle The clues are in the blue book, you need something truly massive

Solution Jupiter can be grabbed from within the telescope view, place it on the scale to open
silentforcepower 16 Jun, 2024 @ 3:21am
Thank you for the hint. This map is very tough. I solved skulls puzzle (13) and got the study key. I got red boat marker which I don't know where to use. Now, I am stuck at stars puzzle. There is a blue book with numbers about planets. I don't know how these numbers help in solving the puzzle. Also, I noticed that some stars disappear from the sky when I move strings

@silentforcepower

You were able to get into that section without entering the bedroom?
To get in the bedroom you would have to solve this puzzle.

Hint The M Book is able to be picked up and contains the context to the puzzle.

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3268578366
The Answer The password to enter in the bookcase is "Deity"

This is where you pick up the painting you are missing.
The bedroom is supposed to be required to get the tomb key to go down the ladder. If you didn't solve it could you explain how you were able to open the gate to get in there?
silentforcepower 15 Jun, 2024 @ 2:01pm
I did not go there. Can you give a hint how to open bedroom door?
Popo 434  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 12:54pm
@silentforcepower I see from the video you are missing one painting found in the bedroom through the doorway. The plaques have not only the names, but also years that mostly ascend in order of age he is in the picture, and probably most importantly the artist or person who gifted the painting to him.
