I enjoy unelectrified version routes, and this is one of them.

Hey I have a problem where the route wont load and just freezes on the loading screen. Please help
RolandBP 28 May, 2016 @ 11:08pm
Thanks for your work on backdating this fantastic route and the semaphore signals are working fine on the 9F scenario run. I hope some more scenarios are done for it.
sergeant_0ddball 30 Sep, 2015 @ 8:02am
thank you. TS2016 really screwed a lot of people up, didn't it?
Verzee  [author] 30 Sep, 2015 @ 3:55am
as a side note I have made this route final to produce some scenario's
Verzee  [author] 30 Sep, 2015 @ 3:29am
sorry for the late response, the modelers pack is included in the woodhead line.
Unfortunaly iam unable to finalize this route, secondly with the last update of TS iam unable to get back to my updated and adjusted route, the route without the "new"woodhead tunnel and updated scenery. So unfortunaly I will leave the route as it is hopefully people can still enjoy it.

best regards

Do I get the modelers pack with Woodhead, or do I have to purchase it separately?
pparnis 9 Jun, 2015 @ 12:36pm
Hi Verzee,
I have just finished creating a scenario on your excellent route with a heavy coal train (40 loaded coal wagons) using a 9F steam loco from Wath to Mottram over the 1 in 40 gradients to Penistone. When I try to publish, it says that the route is not finalised, which was a great disappointment after spending so many hours on this scenario.I realise that this is not your fault and hope that you get enough votes to make your route final. So for now, I will just save my scenario and hope that it can be used soon.
Thanks for your time creating this route,
Best Regards, Paul

Even though this is a WIP, you've done a fabulous job, thank you for making it available for everyone. :)
Verzee  [author] 29 Dec, 2014 @ 5:50am
hello there, sorry for the late repsonse but I have been out of the country for 8 weeks.
any way that sounds terrible. I think I will leave at "works in progress" then.
only unfortunate for not able to post scenario's
Roger T 2 Nov, 2014 @ 1:02pm
That star is because I favorited it so no stars at the moment. Important to know what has to happen to get stars?
Roger T 2 Nov, 2014 @ 12:59pm
Hallo Verzee you have got one star on my subscribe list. How or who what or whenever is a mystery to me :-) I noticed you got a list of destinations in from Manchester next to Manchester Sheffield. Can't drive at the moment.
I have a problem with the mouse not reacting right now so cant get to controles.
There is nothing worse than being in the cab and the mouse doesnt move, especially when in a steam engine. TS2014 was working fine I hope this 2015 mess is all worth it.
Verzee  [author] 2 Nov, 2014 @ 11:37am
Hi Roger, thanks for subscribing to my youtube channel. shame the stars dont work, I wanted to rate "The Wycombe route" from Hertsbob but couldnt find how to do it either. so that is a mystery I only need 14 votes more to make it final and start publishing scenario's.
Roger T 1 Nov, 2014 @ 7:17am
Stars dont react. I have subscribed to your youtube Verzee.
Verzee  [author] 1 Nov, 2014 @ 5:33am
Hello, ive posted a short movie of a scenario on this route.

Roger T 30 Oct, 2014 @ 12:03am
you can get star status from me if I know how to do it :-)
Verzee  [author] 29 Oct, 2014 @ 1:08pm
hallo Roger, honestly I have no idea how to vote for the route :-P butt I think you have to click on the stars from 1 to 5.

about the QD and only able to run from Manchester to Sheffield, that is correct because I only included a simple QD scenario from Manchester to Sheffield. I am trying to make more QD scenario's for the route. Butt they are quite difficult to make at least with static consists and AI trains.
Roger T 29 Oct, 2014 @ 9:00am
Hallo Verzee = I have a remark over quick drive ref before electric woodhead I only have the choice to drive from Sheffield to Manchester, no ther stations to choose from.
Roger T 29 Oct, 2014 @ 8:54am
How do I vote VerZee?
Verzee  [author] 29 Oct, 2014 @ 7:27am
Hello Roger, that would be nice indeed. I have made 3 scenario's so far for this route but it would be much better if they are based on real time tables. I only must say that for the moment I cannot publish any of them because I need 16 more votes to make the route "final" and to be able and publish scenario's. Anyway thanks in advance
Roger T 28 Oct, 2014 @ 12:56pm
Hallo Verzee I have got an original British Railways passenger services timetable from 1957. The MIdlands, North Wales The North. Manchester and Sheffield are in there. Is a copy of anything in particular that would be of use to you?
Roger T 23 Oct, 2014 @ 10:09am
OK thanks for the info
Verzee  [author] 23 Oct, 2014 @ 8:21am
Hello Roger, thanks for the nice comment. I really think there is a shortage of mainline routes set in the steam (BR) era so this was one way of creating one. you are right about the lights at night. I will add lights for sure, butt I want to try and only use assest from the Woodhead line route so that limits me a little bit in my options.
currently I am working on a scenario for this route that I will post soon on the workshop.
Roger T 23 Oct, 2014 @ 2:02am
Very nice change to be able to drive both steam atmospheer and electric. I am a great fan of industrial area railways like around Birmingham etc., in 1950's and this hits my spot :-) I would like one addition and that is lighting for night work. Is this possible? Many thanks.
AllyourKitty 21 Oct, 2014 @ 4:22am
Lovely work Verzee, nice to have the route as a pure steam one now!
Verzee  [author] 20 Oct, 2014 @ 3:44am
Ai! that is correct Scouser888, I have changed my spelling error :-P
Scouser888 19 Oct, 2014 @ 6:04pm
It is spelt Sheffield.
Verzee  [author] 19 Oct, 2014 @ 12:53pm
thanks everybody for the nice comments so far. I will try and make some more changes that will improve this route and place it here on the workshop. Enjoy!
harrycwilliams1 18 Oct, 2014 @ 6:56am
Fine business. As an old Gortonman i trust you will make the old Tunnel into the filthy hell hole that it was and compleat the triangle Gorton, Hyde Road, Fairfield. I can then turn A3s and other large locos which the Gorton turntable could not do. Thanks again. looking forwards to trying it out.
Walter White 17 Oct, 2014 @ 5:26pm
@5teve0 Probably no. The workshop Castle Rock, Seebergbahn, and Hedborough are not compatible with scenarios for the older routes.
5teve0 17 Oct, 2014 @ 12:31pm
Great idea for a route. Do you think the normal Woodhead scenarios would work on this if they were put in the right folder?
Black5 17 Oct, 2014 @ 9:03am
Are you going to add Glossop that was missed in the original Woodhead Route? We can then run the old 'push-n-pull' and the excursions as in the 50's etc.
DD_Fenrir 16 Oct, 2014 @ 3:22pm
Looking forward to running around this one in an apple green V2 or A3! All we need now is an LNER liveried O4, some B17s and a slection of GCR types!
Beanzi Boi #TF2SP 15 Oct, 2014 @ 12:16pm

Dodgydruid 15 Oct, 2014 @ 5:50am
@Jamea132 - hehe us old SR bods get around, I was at the lamp arch at Waterloo myself, my tough and hard job of filling cleaning and putting on the lamps for the Waterloo-ExStD services then was TOPS man at Norwood, my dad was a lifelong Southern signalman and my uncle a driver at Hoo, do you know in here Glennives who is also a former SR driver?
jamea132 15 Oct, 2014 @ 5:20am

Hi TomC, yes its my intention to remove most of the light signals and to replace them with semaphore signals, anyway thank you for the nice comments.
TomC_Overshoe 14 Oct, 2014 @ 9:21pm
Looks good. I just finished a run from Manchester to Sheffield. Nice to have another steam era route. Are you ging to replace all the light signals?
Dodgydruid 14 Oct, 2014 @ 5:02pm
Thats pretty cool, looking forward to running around on this in me Robinson or J94
