very cool sub, i used this to go to 1km under the ocean's surface, at least the interior made it less spooky

hey. i was wondering if you do planes because i've been looking for a plane with a para door but i haven't been able to find one but i thought i'd come to you because it looks like you good at building large creations. so medium cargo plane to run on my horrible computer with para doors if possible in advance thank you.

Is the emergency power automatic or is there a hidden switch?

Constantly grounded at optimal ballast. Any fixes?
Str1key 1 Aug, 2024 @ 12:38am
thanks because its a great creation, its just a bit annoying lifting it up from the seafloor :D

I could look into it for sure, I know it is a commonly requested feature, no promises but I’ll check it out!

Is there any possibility that we could get the propellors for going up and down to work manually for e.g. lifting the boat from the seafloor? But good Creation!

Well that makes enough sense… I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me on my own XD

It puts a warning in the cockpit to not move the sub
MrNerf2632 22 Jul, 2024 @ 10:32pm
What does the switch that says "Flip when divers are out" do?
Whack_AL  [author] 19 Jul, 2024 @ 6:21am
The ballast uses pumps and pressure, it does not delete anything!
Mobius 1 17 Jul, 2024 @ 3:55pm
does this use realistic ballast tanks or does it delete water

Fix the ladders
Not Allergic To Nuts 29 Jun, 2024 @ 5:49pm
Also, there seems to be a pressure build up inside the sub because my character slowly starts to lose health after some time

Im probably doing something wrong, but the depth hold doesnt work when stationary, even at optimum ballast

Been craving some Stormworks lately, and decided to give this a go. Been awesome piloting the Aegir! Spent many hours the last few days exploring the deep! Thanks for creating and sharing.

Is there a way to recharge the batteries? Does the sub have a reverse gear? I can't figure out neither of these questions.
DeadPoolX 23 Jun, 2024 @ 2:54pm
Okay, I figured out why those lights were constantly blinking. I had the transponder locator switched on, which apparently causes lights near the front vertical screws to flash very quickly.

I see. You might want to remove the note on the helm seat that says the up and down arrows are for linear up and down control then. Either that or actually set it up so we can use it; there were a few times I wanted to dive or surface manually and changing the pitch didn't cut it, so I tried to use the arrow keys only for nothing to happen, and it was annoying to have to use the automatic depth control.

what cargo could there fitted with
Whack_AL  [author] 23 Jun, 2024 @ 3:52am
There is an indicator that lights showing level ballast. There is no linear up or down control. The sub auto levels and the engine has many different modes which is likely why the speed is inconsistent. There sub’s hud gives a warning when batteries are low to switch to diesel or re surface. The ballast “should” be working at all depths but I can look into this problem. Overall glad you like the sub it the first one I have ever built so I will note some of this for next time!

Further issues after playing with it for awhile:

Linear up/down control does not work (is there a switch I missed?)

Throttle is very inconsistent. Sometimes it works great, other times it won't give me any speed and has to be almost to the top to move at all.

Hard to ballast the boat. Suggest either making it automatic (I thought it was, turned it on 'fill', left it there, and sank myself too deep to pump it out) or adding a marker about where neutral will be when the sub is fully fueled and has no cargo.

I like it! Nice to see a new sub finally, especially one that looks like somebody seriously put their heart into it.

Just one thing. I'd find it somewhat reassuring if I had a, uh, battery meter. I know the letters 'BAT' on the HUD are supposed to be something to do with it, but without a graph, gauge, chart or anything, it doesn't really tell me much about how much time I have left before I need to surface and fire up the engine.

Is the laser always on? Is there any way to turn it off?
Whack_AL  [author] 21 Jun, 2024 @ 8:07pm
Sadly this is the case
Jim the Pilot 21 Jun, 2024 @ 4:24pm
the stormworks submaking community isn't as active as it used to be

this is interesting
