I was trying to compare your mod to the original on shield power but it keeps crashing my game on load up. I did take the original out first fresh game even. I have other mods but something is not playing nice.

Hi Hoofie,
Under normal circumstances, the shield highlight effect should only display for a few seconds. The issue you're experiencing is likely caused by conflicts/interactions with other mods.
Try temporarily disabling other mods to identify which one might be interfering with the highlight system.

Is there a way to remove the purple glow? Some of my ships are stuck with the purple glow, even when the mod isnt loaded.

The glow also bugs out from time to time where it goes all over the screen like a disco-party.

I love this mod. When you have time to release the advanced version, can you add an option to ignore damage to certain blocks in the config? It has an interaction with Federal Industrial - Rocket Propulsion. The thruster is supposed to hurt itself to use up its fuel, but with this installed it instead drains the shields.

ah ok. you have cool mods. want to use your Function Expansion Mod. But this colide with my lower resources mod. So the Drill Option is to heavy for that.

I would like to use this mod and configure it for my own survival with friends, but can you please create an English translation of the files at least, so that I can actually understand what it is I'm messing with? I'm sure other users would appreciate this as well. Thanks.

nice mod so far...sadly if you leave the game and rejoine your save the defense shield value is set to 0. so it need to recharge after joining.

How are the calculations for shield recharge done? How does the block count affect it? If I have a small block ship with 3,613 blocks it has a shield strength of 361,300 but how long would it take to charge it?

Also, I absolutely ADORE how it counts custom turrets as a separate! Its probably just coincidence rather than an intended feature but it allows you to use your turrets to take a hit or two every so often in a fight! (Which is what I was looking for :nekoheart: )

Did more testing and not sure if this can be fixed but this mod is also conflicting with the Thermal Camera mod. When using this mod, the thermal camera does not display the correct thermal image when viewing through the camera. The shields seems to cause a visual conflict. Is it possible to fix this conflict through this mod?

In the mean time i will ask the modder of the thermal camera.

Did some testing and realize this mod is not compatible/friendly with other scripts that uses the control seat's Custom Data (for example: Whip's scripts, AutomaticLCDs, etc.).

Because this mod uses the custom data on the control seat to store the shield values, it overwrites all other Custom Data inputs for the other scripts.

Is it possible to have the shield value an option via shield display script instead of solely on Main Cockpit? Or, not sure how easy it would be, but have it made compatible with other scripts' Custom Data inputs?

A mod conflict is possible, but I don't have WeaponCore or another shield mod installed at the same time, one of the worlds was the current play-through of Ares at War and the other was a creative world with some of the same mods that I was using for AaW (not the packs included with the scenario.) Nothing too wild outside of the Water Mod and Aero Physics.

Sorry, I used 20 large red ships to attack each other for 20 minutes, until half of them were completely destroyed, but I did not encounter the situation you mentioned. It runs normally on my end, and there is no issue with saving the game. It might be conflicting with a MOD you are using, I can’t determine that.

I want to use this as it seems a simple early game mitigation from having your grid erased before you can adequately defend yourself, but it breaks the ability to save games. Tried it on two different games, a survival and a creative and both will throw an error about drive space or lack of memory to successfully save until I remove this mod.

Hello, can you add function were shields are added to all spawned npc ships in solar system. If player can have shield is wery overpower and what is point of use it when all npcs fighting with your ship dont have chance to win because you have shield. Stay save.
