I'd love to figure out a way to implement this without needing console commands, but unfortunately regular byos works using a different dungeon generation method.
I know of a mod being developed that should allow for my templates to work, but it is yet to be released.
Thanks for letting me know, though in future if you could please post any Inkbound-related issues to the Inkbound bug tracking thread , It will be noticed and addressed sooner.
If anything goes screwy with the generation of the Inkling ship, please do let me know here.

Try entering /admin mode and paste the following "/spawnitem SIV_shipInklingWingHuge".
If this gives you a Perfectly Generic Item something is definitely amiss.
i checked again and it still wasn't there, like i didn't have the mod installed.
i'm gonna try to verify files of my game and if that doesn't work, reinstalling starbound to see if that fixes it
I just tested this on my end and it worked just fine, can you give me more information on what went wrong?
It should be available in the list of ships when you interact with SAIL for the first time, between the Hylotl and Kirhosi options.
what am i doing wrong?
I'd also like to have it in the base version as well
(and maybe a normal ship upgrade-able version if that's possible ^^;;)
No plans at this stage, brain is still cooling down after figuring out how to get this mod working harmoniously with FU. I did include a FU-independent version in the mod files that can be viewed in the Tiled software by anybody without needing FU, but I'd need to learn about how regular BYOS works to get any implementation going.
