Makes sense. You could always remove the mod from the workshop I think. Good luck in everything! When you made it it really helped with the graphics and memory issues the game had at launch. Even though it wasn't the intent of the mod! :)

Sorry the MOD is broken. I knew that years ago. I actually know very little about modding and had to teach myself how to code and do 3D design or ask for help to make it. I would recommend removing the MOD and/or waiting for X4.

If someone wants to take control of the MOD, be my guest!!!

I've been going through a divorce for the past year and working on a master's degree. So X Rebirth a game I havn't played in years isn't on my radar at all.

I like the dev made this in 2014 by 2016-2017 the games not bad not perfect but clearly butthurt :P

I really love this mod, but for me the gates dissappeared like two years ago, and now i'm getting some weird behavior, as described by oszorrobln, so i gotta unsub.

please repair as soon as possible ... since V4,1 occasionally and now with V4.3 constantly ... picture freezes when exiting the tunnel mainly with autopilot but also when exiting manually. usually at the end of the tunnel but now also if you want to get out by emergency. Reboot of the computer required. just recommended you as very good. The switsch between the tunnels should you best leave out. because he goes so fast that you can not react anymore.

bitte schnestmöglich nachbessern...seit V4,1 gelegendlich und nun mit V4,3 ständig...bild friert ein beim austritt aus dem tunnel haupsächlich mit autopilot aber auch beim manuellen austritt. gewöhnlich am ende des tunnels aber nun auch wenn man vorher per notstopp raus will. neustart der rechners erforderlich. hatte dich gerade als sehr gut empfohlen.. sage bescheid wenn behoben. den switsch zwischen den tunneln solltest du am besten weglassen. weil er so schnell geht das man nicht mehr reagieren kann. :skunklogo:

Yeah the minigates are totally broken. You could see them while in and our of the highway system. Hopefully at some point from now till October I'll see if I can fix it.

Thanks for the mod. It would be nice if you could split the changes to the inside view and outside view of the highway in two mods. Personally I enjoy seeing out of the highway, but I have trouble finding the highways from outside since they're so pale (not sure if the minigates which are not visible in 4.0 were visible from outside, maybe it helped with that).

Any chance you could fix the mod not having the minigates in 4.0? I just started playing the game with this mod and I don't like the fact that the highways are almost featureless without the minigates. I'm probably going to uninstall it.

Das entfehrnen des grünen Rauchs wärend man im highway ist, sollte die Sicht wärend des flugs enorm verbessern. Mir persönlich half es sehr, da mich die ursprüngliche Animation sehr schnell ermüdet hat, deshalb hoffe ich das auch du etwas länger am Ball bleiben kannst wärend du X:Rebirth mit meiner Mod spielst. Von aussen ist die 'Highwayanimation' jetzt weiß, woduch sie mehr wie Rauch oder Abgase erscheint und bei weitetem nicht so störend ist wie sie ursprünglich war.
Die 'Highwaytore' erscheinen in einem Abstand von circa einer Sekunde, auch wenn ich lieber ein Distanzbasiertes System genutzt hätte benutze ich jetzt ein Zeitbasiertes System.
(Autobahn is a possible translation for highway, but seeing that highway is used as a name i do not translate it)

It should work in 4.0, I've been playing; I think there might be a few broken features of the MOD, but it won't effect your game as the MOD is purely visual in nature. I've been playing 4.0 and I think the MOD is missing the additonal jumpgates. I'll have to figure out why that is. But don't worry it works.

Great improvement over the original, though the colour are a bit inconsistent, the streams are white, the speed effect is blue, the entrance and trails are still yellow-green

Had to uninstall because the highways are to loud and are drowning out all other sounds. Maybe a bug?

Ok. I figured out what was causing the graphics issue. Egosoft's animation called "collision body" which is part of the original local highway animation is the culprit. I removed it, and uploaded a new 1.12 version of my mod to steam. Please check to see if this is still causing you issues. I tested for about 10 minutes of gameplay in Devries and I couldn't get that glitch to come back. Before it was almost constant in Devries near the sun.

As previously stated after that, it's not the MOD but a graphics glitch thats always part of the game, your only noticing it because of the stream animation being deleted. Currently the only way to deal with it would be to delete the reference to the distorsion field.

That glitch made the mod unbearable for me, if you ever find a fix for it i would love to use this mod again.

This looks very good artistically, and seems more plausible for an actual gat design with subordinate directing rings, to keep a suedo-wormhole effect properly stablized over long distances....

you're right, i've noticed it only because the green energy from the highways is gone, and so far it only happenned in DeVries.

if you go and make the whole screen affected by the distortion field, won't it make the action inside the highways harder to read ?

@turmelus Yea I've noticed that as well... I don't think it's my MOD though. I think that's a game issue. What I believe is happening is that your only noticing it now when it happens because all of the green highway energy effects are gone. It has something to do with the distortion effect. The area that looks off is the area that is not being effected by the distortion effect. So either Egosoft fixes that graphical glitch, or I could make the whole screen affected by the distortion field.
