Even if you glance at the old buildings from the workshop and the new ones, the new ones seem to be made by casting - monolithic parts, as if the machine is made in some kind of 3D modeling program. And old creations, on the contrary, yes, they may look cool, but the author had to go to all sorts of tricks to achieve this effect, and it is often seen that the structure consists of details. The old ones are closer to me, like Brick Rigs, for me it is primarily a constructor editor (like Lego), so not only the inconvenience of the editor (for me personally) stops me from switching to new versions, but also a departure from the details in principle

On the one hand, you are right, all these scalable parts and flexible mounting systems make it easier to create buildings.
But, purely as for me, this kind of charm of lego structures disappears, I agree in the new version you can make photorealistic cars, airplanes, etc., but they do not have this combination of parts when the car is fully or partially assembled from some parts of the designer.
And the plus side is that switching to the new version will be extremely time-consuming and inconvenient to learn, which will make it trite for me to play and build

Actually it's getting more simple on 1.6/1.7, plus we have tank treads in 1.7, scalable tires, and scalable lights

Yes, but I like this particular version, simple and convenient

I don't think you realise this, but barely anybody plays Legacy anymore
