(Still plank and no plan to change it atm)
KnatteAnka  [author] 8 Jul @ 12:44pm
Mod updated:
7.0.1
* Boost Metal Staircase Movmentspeed
* Lower pillar cost by around 1 per pillar type
* Fix Emberpelts Log staircase
r055co 10 Jun @ 3:54am
yeah I have to agree with @krixt about the planks, IMO need to revert back to logs. Makes zero sense that simple posts cost planks to build.
KnatteAnka  [author] 7 Jun @ 8:44am
hmm Krixt will have to think about it.
Know that pillars can be used instead of platforms that cost planks so it was a cheaper platform that cost no planks, this was why prices was changed to planks and increased.
But I may need to lower the plank cost some.
krixt 6 Jun @ 8:49am
:steamsad:  100% disagree with recent 7.0.0 changes. Everything now costs planks. "Look" at the items you are making. All of the pillars items are simply posts/logs in the ground. These are not planks in the ground, and they come with no top ledge either. Spiral staircase is now more expensive than vanilla stairs, and even more expensive when you factor in platforms for building more than 1 level. "Pillar + Pillar Platform" now costs more (+1 plank & +1 wood) than vanilla platform. These unnecessary cost increases completely negate this mod now. Please reconsider these cost changes to fit more thematically with what you are actually building. Logs in the ground should just cost logs.

you are correct, my apologies!
I assumed it was your mod because it was the only one updated recently but it was not, everything is ok and that is great as this mod is great!

Thank you for your work!
navad108 26 Feb @ 3:05pm
Mine crashes also - but not on game launch but when I try to start a game.
KnatteAnka  [author] 26 Feb @ 10:24am
no Knattematerials never broke

Lost bullet are you sure its from this mod as this is codeless!
navad108 26 Feb @ 9:37am
Doesn't the knattematerials mod also have to be updated?
Lost Bullet 26 Feb @ 7:28am

Is it Christmas? I've been building the slummy way without pillars and spirals now for a while and I still can't get used to the "vanilla" way again. Your mod (and ladders, which luckily were the only way I was able to keep my sanity this long) are the only way to play! Now if only TimberAPI got the BottomBar working (not their fault, I'm not blaming or shaming), you wouldn't have to resort to a separate button on... well... the bottom... bar... Wow, they really named that well. I suppose your MoreGroups mod taught you well, and I'm so glad! One day, we shall have TimberAPI and BottomBar living in Harmony and Unity... ... ... I'll show myself out now :p
KnatteAnka  [author] 17 Feb @ 1:20pm
ya was done special for Ironteeth but now they are the same done just different material used but otherwise they are as idetical as possible between faction so it helps in the long run :)
Speadge 17 Feb @ 10:31am
@knatteAnka:
Thanks for ur answer. when i know its intended and not a bug u need to be notified of, its fine for me.
KnatteAnka  [author] 17 Feb @ 9:08am
Speadge you will need to rebuild but you may use the dev mode tool
https://timberborn.fandom.com/wiki/Developer_Mode
use ctrl to place fully built stair
Breakfast (Childrens Day) 17 Feb @ 7:44am
Thank you for the update!
Speadge 17 Feb @ 7:19am
hi, with update 7 my stairs are now reversed. any idea how to fix it without rebuilding?
KnatteAnka  [author] 11 Feb @ 9:10am
(All/most mods)
KnatteAnka  [author] 11 Feb @ 9:09am
no its because update 7 broke all mods and i have not had time or energy to fix it yet, not even see exacly what has changed from update 6->7
IONDragonX 10 Feb @ 3:05pm
Doesn't seem to work on Experimental 7.0.4 build. Perhaps the ziplines took too many toolbar objects?
KnatteAnka  [author] 11 Dec, 2024 @ 10:15am
4 legged pillar exist already in path extention and also adds a few new overhangs (many need more groups to show up as we have to little space in paths tab)
xxLEGIONxx Gaming 10 Dec, 2024 @ 9:41am
KnatteAnka, have you ever thought abour adding bare metal pillars like the base of the new overhangs? like the 1 wood 4 leg pillar that you have in this, but metal so it would be able to go under the metal overhangs and match the appearance
KnatteAnka  [author] 4 Nov, 2024 @ 2:57am
right missed to build that fix, will release an update today
诺米 4 Nov, 2024 @ 12:15am
There is a bug in this update, the individual platform is misplaced
Kronic 1 Nov, 2024 @ 2:46am
KnatteAnka you're correct my mistake lol I thought I was commenting on a different workshop item. Love these staircases no issues at all
Vas 31 Oct, 2024 @ 9:29am
I bet he meant the staircase. :P But yea, you simply offset them to have exits on each floor. Just like you might in real life.
KnatteAnka  [author] 31 Oct, 2024 @ 2:24am
Kronic This mod does not have ladders but its still possible to exit on each floor just may take more space
Kronic 30 Oct, 2024 @ 11:14pm
Great mod by the way, simple but effective and much needed
Vas 24 Oct, 2024 @ 8:54am
Please note that Valve has not fixed the workshop. If your mod does not auto update, file a support ticket with both the game devs who chose to support Steam Workshop even though its broken, and Valve to show them that the auto update process is broken.

I filed my own support ticket, and they said no one else has the issue so they closed my support ticket and ignored me. Every single person needs to report the bug in order to prove its an issue.

If your mods do not auto update on their own, report it to Valve at the very least. All mod devs should be adding this message to their descriptions to get this bug mass reported till its fixed.
Lotenicalicus 15 Oct, 2024 @ 11:59am
Thanks, now is working again!
KnatteAnka  [author] 29 Sep, 2024 @ 12:20pm
Lotenicalius try verify game files to force download latest version of the mod (2.1.7)
Lotenicalicus 29 Sep, 2024 @ 1:57am
Hi! Same problem as @El_Frijole, I tried to replace some of the metal stairs but no bonus. It is listed in the well-being but it is not working
chd570802072 21 Sep, 2024 @ 11:45am
It's very slow when there are more and more stairs
Hawk 21 Sep, 2024 @ 9:33am
@KnatteAnka
no I don't ... but it seems this was solved after restarting the game (had a really long session :D)
Chris11d7 20 Sep, 2024 @ 9:10am
@Hawk, are you sure this is because of the mod? Usually when a district becomes too large, new paths creation causes lag (needs to re-calculate all paths to buildings, work areas, etc.).
KnatteAnka  [author] 19 Sep, 2024 @ 10:14am
@Hawk do you use the Log Ladder from Aquacadre? some reports have come in that it affect prefomance before.
Hawk 19 Sep, 2024 @ 12:17am
when placing new paths, the game gets very slow / freezes - anyone else experiences this?
El_Frijole 18 Sep, 2024 @ 4:21pm
Playing in the latest update of experimental I've found that I'm no longer getting a well being bonus from the metal stairs. Anyone else having this issue?
Vas 10 Sep, 2024 @ 5:26pm
Thats also why some game devs have resorted to adding in their own update methods in games to force updates where Valve cannot because Valve is too lazy to figure it out.
Vas 10 Sep, 2024 @ 5:26pm
No, steam workshop has been broken for many years. Ever since they needed to convert it over to 64 bit or something. Its broken for many games. Ark Survival, Space Engineers, and every game that I've found after the conversion too. Any mod released after just doesn't auto update for any game. Valve knows its a problem, and they just don't care.
KnatteAnka  [author] 9 Sep, 2024 @ 12:37pm
Know that some of the Workshop problem that exist is high probability that its because its experimental and hidden workshop.
Rime Pendragon 9 Sep, 2024 @ 3:17am
Game updates breaking mods has nothing to do with Steam workshop.
Vas 8 Sep, 2024 @ 12:20pm
Honestly, steam workshop support should be canceled due to the steam workshop being broken. The devs should just use Mod.IO only.
Fishtix 8 Sep, 2024 @ 10:22am
still broken for me
KnatteAnka  [author] 7 Sep, 2024 @ 11:44am
Mod is Updated remeber to verify gamefiles to force update mods!
Spike's Spaghetti 5 Sep, 2024 @ 9:15pm
Broken after the update
NeoRider7 5 Sep, 2024 @ 7:07am
Today's game update broke this mod. This mod needs to be updated.
Vas 7 Aug, 2024 @ 7:46am
I'll retype things I said below for a more professional look.

I don't know why you removed the feature from platform 2x2 that allowed mechanical pumps and such to deposit water straight through them. That was actually a really nice feature. The removal of it damaged my colony considerably.

I also don't know why you made the bit white log stick through the dark brown platform. Its really a bad look for it. Its made my colony a bunch of white polka dots now and I've begun to deconstruct them and replace them with regular platforms. I'd like for at least this one to be reverted back so that platforms look like plain platforms again without a log sticking through them.

Have you tried verifying game files?
