@mentallentil, oh wow thanks for the fave!

I loved all those subtle changes in state where you have to repeat a couple moves in back to back sequences, it was done perfectly in this map! I had to put thought into every single move; it almost felt like they were arranged in an order where the next would be the least expected. Faved :love_seagull:

Nice map! It fits the contest theme very well and has some fun moves. Thumbs up!

@eggs McGee, Thank you for your kind words. If I am understanding you correctly, that move is actually what I intended. You can watch the solution video attached above to check. But that move is weird; hence the gel streaking hint. It is consistent but I understand your uneasiness.

Not my best puzzle, please check out my other naps like "Caddisfly" if you want good logic. My "TUBER" series has more weird moves. Cheers!

Good puzzle, I liked the multifaceted use of the cube, the ending gel launch to reach the entrance room felt a bit unintentional to me though. how I did it was by having the cube on the gel button and manually stepping on and off the bridge button in time. maybe there was a way to do it more elegantly but I couldn't see how. Very fun overall, though!

Thank you very much, @PDX. Glad you liked it!

I enjoy a good gel puzzle and liked this one very much! It had a lot more moves than I expected at a first glance. Also, I always enjoy the meme of seeing the exit from the entrance and this one was extra funny

Thanks for playing again, bullfrog! I'd say that is the intended solution with an alternative technique ;)

Excellent puzzle and great fun to play, definite  I've not looked at your video, but I thought I'd solve it by the alternative method we talked about.

@Libbybapa,
Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

I enjoyed it. I also got a kick out of the sight line to the exit. You might be able to improve it further by removing the glass and opening up that whole area down to goo. Why is the big fizzler at the exit. Is that just to prevent using the bridge? If so, I'd probably just add a geometric obstruction. Considering there is already blue gel in the map which can be used to establish permanent progression, it also seemed to me that there might be more elegant options than the permabutton. Regardless, fun map!

@₴ⱧɆɆ₱ĐØ₲, oh wow thanks for playing! Sorry it has permanent progression, but I was pretty happy with it anyway, given the time constraint. I still need to beat your entry!

It didn't bother me while playing. I'll have to think about it.
E L Y T R O N  [author] 30 Jun, 2024 @ 9:08pm
@Aneonen, Thank you so much for playing and commenting! I was pretty chuffed with the sight-line and think it could have some pretty awesome hammerizablility potential if it somehow does well in the contest.

Care to weigh-in on the permabutton debate? Does it seem warranted/acceptable use of a permabutton here?
Aneonen 30 Jun, 2024 @ 9:04pm
Cool puzzle! I think that this is tastefully old-styled. I enjoyed how there was some "simpler" unconventionality that you might expect from a map in that era, e.g. the means by which the gel is spread by flicking the bridge on/off. That sightline from the exit button to the exit itself was funny.
Mattchew 30 Jun, 2024 @ 3:31pm
My oh me! This one took me off guard, so many cool moves here! Favorite move is jumping into the fizzler to have the cube land on the button. Also being able to enforce geling the cube 3 times is quite intense!

Major thing I noticed is I think the map can be nearly the same as before without the perma-button. the only thing you miss out on is the first initial fling, which considering you still do the big fling at the end, is not a major loss. I recommend seeing if the map can be the same with the angled panel already deployed. the only thing I can think of is that you can paint things out of order, although you still have to do all the sequences to paint them. Well done!

I figured out pretty late that there was a place for blue gel near the exit. Here is my solution: https://youtu.be/MRRzOJZhO1I
