Hey I love your take on the Northern Express theme. I've also made a WP based off this same model and I actually think they could coexist together.

The stripe trick is always fun to see executed, it's just a shame it doesn't always look good on the minigun/medigun depending on the orientation.

Really good skin, but I'm not a fan of the text because 1. it looks printed on, 2. you don't usually see text on warpaints, and 3. it's probably going to be blurry from compression if it gets added. I think you should just get rid of the text entirely because the skin itself is really good and it doesn't need anything else.

i like the way its done however the wear on it is a little hard to see on some of the guns i would also like to see all the wears. besides from that its good

the train can kill you, so can the gun

i will try making letters bolder

I also agree with the text point although I think part of that is because I'm just not used to seeing text like this on in-game warpaints. Maybe try an "NE" logo?

The paint already looks perfectly good and close to the trains design even without it. I can understand having to work with the restrictions isn't easy but again my point is that it just doesn't look too good and that in some weapons the size of it makes it cut off and the smaller ones look bad, its a very small detail within small details. You can also just change the NORTHERN word into "MANN EXPRESS" for the same if not better effect. If you are dead set on it though that's your choice, just make the letters bolder/thicker and that could work.

i can make the text look a bit more painted but i can't do anything about the size of it because this warpaint is not custom coded. I also don't want to remove the NORTHERN part of the sticker because i am trying to make the warpaint close to the original train as possible. About the text being too small, you can see in the ingame screenshots that the text on the sticker is perfectly readable even if the weapon model is small

I have to agree with suchmuse here, the text is a nice idea but the way it looks in some of the weapons is really weird, not to mention the text itself looks really small and off. I would much rather suggest you focus on the "EXPRESS" portion and make it look less typed and more painted on, increase the size of it as well. And i just noticed with how large the text is it even gets cut off in some of the screenshots.

i already did this, trigger parts of most of the weapons are orange, you can see a lot of orange parts in stickybomb launcher, and other weapons has some orange parts. I did my best to add small orange details with the warpaint base i use.

@fantach
i think that would be nice. maybe the orange line could be incorporated in other parts of the warpaint / weapons. some small parts being orange like the reload nub on the stickylauncher or the sights on the rifle. stuff like that.

Looks great!
Removing the text gets rid of the reference and that's a very bad idea and would make the skin overall worse.
fantach ඞ  [author] 30 Jun, 2024 @ 1:34am
if i remove the text, orange line that goes across weapons would be removed too,
Cee 30 Jun, 2024 @ 1:00am
remove the text and its perfect
