- Also I couldn't find any good tau weapon models after looking through gmod and sfm workshop unfortunately, so those are probably off the menu for the moment
Heavy stubber: It's how the model is, I didn't make them, just tried to implement them. It's a slightly modified model of a M60 addon from what I can tell
Для работы вам понадобятся пакеты моделей TFA Base и Cat SWEPs.
1. unknown - lua/entities/cat_m9k_c4_modified_bomb/shared.lua:177
Q menu > Utilities > TFA Settings > Scopes/Sights > Blur Mode > No Blur
If it's not that one, I'll see about trying to recreate the blur issue and see what I can find, I suppose
What weapons specifically are having the issue, as that information would assist with trying to figure out what is going on
- The ammo backpacks would be a possibility yeah. There is a problem with actually setting it up to work unfortunately. When you assign a model as the view or worldmodel, you can't position the bones of the model to follow specific bones of the player. I could maybe add the ammo chute thing in viewmodel, and try to figure something out in worldmodel. I suppose people could do such through pac3 if they really wish. Lemme look into what I can do
- The lua errors are something I'll have to look into further
- Changed the sniper default sights to be a bit more useful
- There's no real way to show the extended mag going on the heavy bolters effectively, so probably not
- It is just an M60 model retextured slightly
Thank you all for using this addon, it has reached farther than I really expected. Feel free to give any suggestions for what to improve on this addon or maybe ideas of what new addon to make in the future.
1. unknown - lua/entities/cat_m9k_c4_modified_bomb/shared.lua:177
[Cat's Warhammer SWEPs] language.Add expects string as second argument!
1. unknown - lua/entities/cat_m9k_c4_modified_bomb_small/shared.lua:177
Refusing to AddCSLuaFile 'effects/cat_flame .lua' because its name contains dodgy symbols
You equip the attachment, then hit Use + Reload (E + R default). It will open a menu, then you can select the color and skin. Clicking on a skin will close the menu and apply the color if it's changed. Due to some issues with how TFA renders models the new Skin will only apply after the attachment is detached, but then it should save unless you try to change the skin again, or until you need to give yourself the weapon again.
Also wish to know how the plasma heat system feels to use. I've been staring at my stuff for awhile, so I see flaws, but I need some other perspectives
As always, suggestions of what to do next are welcome, as I might be running low on ideas of what to improve
Absolutley amazing work!
For a short period (about 3-4 days) I had used some AI images I generated. Figured those would be more interesting and descriptive than the random art and pictures I yoinked from the interwebs
of cats in Warhammer initially. Didn't vibe with some people, me included, so I just made new thumbnails myself with limited photoshop abilities.
They're not the best, but they work.
That's my philosophy for the mod in general. I didn't make any of the models, mostly just putting them to use with what knowledge I can muster, learning more about gmod as I do so (I have like 40k+ hours on the game, and finally started development recently). I'm also most definitely using working on this as a method to procrastinate doing other stuff.
I wouldn't say that the quality of this mod is great: Reload animations are shared between weapons and don't fit all models, some of the iron sights are so bulky they're unusable, for example. Those are my biggest gripes.
Other than those (and maybe a few other) minor issues, this is probably the biggest, most complete and STILL most well-functioning pack of WH40k human weapons I've seen! Other packs, if they're not in Russian, are usually too small or too buggy or may require other mods that easily conflict with others.
Even for non-WH40k fans, this is a quite fun weapon pack to have, with all sorts of weapons, many of which deal a lot of damage. Perfect for some mindless destructive fun!
I need some review. I gave the Astartes Bolt weapons a HUD Scope as an option. Would like to know if I should add it to the Legacy Bolters, as it's supposed to be the tie to the camera on the front of the bolters (Cylinder above the barrel usually).
Also want to know if anything is broken or should be improved as usual
Probably going to make actual thrown grenades relatively soon, as well as possibly make all 2D scopes a custom overlay/reticle thingy
