Fun map, good design. I quite like the puzzle because even though there's not many steps, you have to put thought into everything you do.

Nice map, which forced me to think through my steps quite carefully. I especially liked the very last funnel switch before you let the CC auto-respawn . Big thumbs up.

Very clever map! I just forgot CC can auto-respawn, that took me way longer. :(

Excellent map! i constantly had to retrace my steps and change positions and portals. Finally made it through. :steamhappy:

Very nice puzzle! The solution is relatively simple, yet it was so subtle I had trouble figuring out when I had made progress. Had to really think a couple of steps ahead, which is my favourite part of a good puzzle. Top 3 of competition for me for sure!

@E L Y T R O N Thank you so much :). i know you're not a fan of quick timing moves, but i DON'T usually use quick-timing moves as a part of the solution since it may overwhelm the player. Also, I can't add visibility to the map because this map is involved in Mikeastro's contest which is to make a map without BEEMOD.

There will be further updates to this map but I have to wait for MIkeastro's contest to be over. :)

Apologies are in order, Psychological Atom, I really shouldn't chat about these things when I'm fresh off of being stumped. Just angry and being unnecessarily harsh.

Really amazing work :p2aperture:

@Psychological Atom thank you so much lad ^^

Super incredible ingenious set of moves...that is WAY too advanced for my pea brain. I comlpetely looked up how Eric Northman did it... never would have figured out that timing sequence with the two funnels. Not a fan of timing in general, tight or lenient, just a lot of pressure and easy to mess-up and force a restart. I also think that visibility of key cube on buttons and cubes falling into water is missing from your design. Plus I had my cubes swapped from intended so nothing worked and having one dropper auto respawn and one not is really unintuitive to me . Regardless, a lot of smart people are very happy with you so who am I too complain? I will never be capable of solving or making something like this. In awe!

@Mattchew Thank you so much! In fact, your double light bridge chamber for the competition is pretty cool. :)

My personal fav from the competition. Kept re-playing to see if it was all truly enforced, and it was. Immense sequence you have, the constant back and forth and re-spawning, its truly astounding. Can't even begin to know how you found it. Beautiful use of the double funnel setup Should be easy to say my personal fav deserves, a fav :)

That was very good! I like maps with 2 different funnels and this map was no exception. In the beginning it looked was more intimidating due to all the white surfaces that aren't particualry necessary, but it became clear quickly. In a strange way it reminds me of MattChew's contest submission :-P Good luck with the contest, would be nice to see what Hammer mappers would do with this one. Big thumbs up!

I just watched @Eric Northman's video and read your response - I'll go back later to see if I can work out what you are talking about, behind the spoiler, to see how that gives me "enough friendly time"
bullfrog 7 Jul, 2024 @ 12:33am
I really liked the puzzle, definite  However, either your idea of "friendly-timing" is different to mine, or I'm doing that part the hard way: intended solution ?

Впечатляет! :104:

Thank you @nerdlingnation, i see what your saying but unfortunely I can't fix the chamber until the contest is over. Furthermore ill mention it in the description.

Very cool puzzle. I was able to get the companion cube out of its starting area in a slightly worse way by walking at a brisk pace to the fizzler, instead of bringing over the standard cube first, but alas. It took me quite a while to work out how to get a portal on the fizzler button's surface while remaining on high ground but after I got that everything fell into place. Good work!
bullfrog 6 Jul, 2024 @ 10:43am
Not a laser puzzle! And, I'm stuck! I feel like I'm getting close, but no cigar, without moves that are definitely not "friendly-timing" in my book. I'll try again in the morning

Very, very good puzzle! I really enjoyed it! I hope there will be more non-laser maps (ocean is also a map I really like).
intended? [www.bilibili.com]
Psychological Atom  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 8:01pm
@Eric Northman Yep all intended :). Only one thing, i recommend putting the companion cube on the square button so there's enough friendly time to switch your portal
DiDo Killer! 5 Jul, 2024 @ 5:01pm
Really nice puzzle. Enjoyed it a lot!

An Atom map without lasers? Insane!

Also good puzzle :)
