I wanted to adjust a few things for my crew's campaign, and ended up making a Fork of this amusing mod that works with Neurotrauma Cybernetics (retaining organs/limbs on the old body so they can be extracted and reused; allowing organ transplants to treat some cloning conditions), fixes a few issues (the below ID Card localization issue, losing talents), and disables by default the "very funni" resetting of skills to 5 for decapitation/husk.

@the goofinator: I kept each change in a separate commit on Github, so if you'd like to merge in any/all of the changes back upstream into yours here that's totally fine by me!

Tested it out, still works fine but idk if it would have changed if i wasn't server host.

Hey there, I wanted to use this mod for my multiplayer campaign but apparently the cloning process applies a heavy frame-rate to everyone but me (The server host) As the clones get spawned, the frame-rate issues last about 30+ seconds before returning to normal. Is there something I can do to improve it? I didn't receive any errors in the log to back up my claim.
Is the mod multiplayer unfriendly?

I can't quite figure out how to use the pod even after powering it on and grabbing the body with the id card in the pod.

good balance for my single campaign characters, they are all maxed 100 and some over, this mod removes the need of hiring new guy at output and retraining them

my friend started cloning the outpost security agents to make them crew members but when we start a mission, they despawn, and even for our dead crew members, at the end of a mission the clones disappear

the collision box for the cloner is really big, try cutting into the hull if you drop it and can't pick it up

This is great. The only issue I'm having is that the Cloning Pod doesn't seem to have collision, so when I dropped it on the floor by accident, not even bots with the "Clean up Items" task could pick it up.

hey, i had a look at how you handled strange reagent out of curiosity, and i feel there's one vital thing you should change—
instead of an hour-long delay in a statuseffect within the strange reagent affliction, i feel a better method is to simply have the max strength of the affliction itself (and the maxstrength of the <Effect />) be the delay (3600). a strengthchange of -1 in the effect would mean it loses 1 strength every second, and this also means the affliction's 'delay' persists between level changes, so that you're not just sitting in a station for an hour between a round so you can be cloned again without your reagent resetting when you get respawned, so you can instead hit the road and be ready to clone whenever the strange reagent finishes metabolizing. you can then have the statuseffect to reduce cloning defects only trigger if <Conditional strangereagent="lte 1" /> or so. this also lets you track how close you are to being able to clone again

for some reason this didn't give me a notification, but you need clientside lua for singleplayer, lua server executable for multiplayer and if both don't work it's probably because of a mod that edits the id card

can't speak for ID card enhanced, but I personally didn't have issues with Enhanced Immersion. maybe a load order issue?

just tested again in singleplayer, turns out it's just singleplayer thats crashing and i was testing it in multiplayer (fuck)

yeah i'll be honest i have no clue how it works. i tried setting tick rate to 1 and even that wouldn't crash. maybe i need to buy a really shitty pc to test this stuff idk

so weird, I tried removing Real Sonar, NT eyes, a bunch of other shit, and nothing helped. I'll keep testing later, see if I can't find it.

it seems like a mod is trying to modify the body while it's being deleted by the clone pod. i've tried to fix it by not letting the person be cloned if this is happening.

no known incompatibilities, if it's crashing to desktop, is there a crash report?
