Not sure what it could be. Everything is trigger activation and I played this twice as nothing wrong happened. You might want to remove the the files from steam files and subscribe again.
steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1202130 is starship troopers. And just find the thumbnail.
Then try again.

Do you have any mods installed. I don't use mods, but everything should be running smoothly.

Its glitched for my playthroughs. I keep getting the return to base timer at the start of the mission. I don't know what's causing it.
