Odd to call a mod "silly" and assume what "most people" would think is what you think when the logic was explained clearly and consistently. Anyway, cool mod, I like it.

As someone who has seen wood before, this is a hugely welcome change. Untreated pine has no business being that dark.

This is silly. To me the vanilla is more reflective of what I think most people would interpret the colors as. The darker represent dirty, raw wood; with dirt all over it. The cleaner look represents cleaned off shiny and new treated wood.

To each their own.

Can you please check if you have any other mods installed, if they have updated, and if that doesn't solve your problem I suggest the Timberborn Discord might have some people who can help you.

This mod is almost the simplest possible mod, it is even in the modding documentation as an example. If it is causing problems then there is something wrong with the game itself.

I did change to experimental, but I started this whole game in experiments with the mod. After the .01 update, I can’t load that save anymore
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 9 Feb @ 7:04pm
This mod shouldn't have any effect on loading a save, are you sure you didn't update/install something else? Did you change to Experimental branch?

Hey, what happened? The mod was updated to .1 and now I cant load my save. Can someone help?
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 9 Feb @ 1:34am
Updated to work in 0.7

Has no effect in Update 7, but doesn't crash.

Yeah, that's how it should have been from the start!

Thank you to @Reetno for working out which mod was causing it
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 13 Sep, 2024 @ 10:38pm
This should now be resolved, verify your game files to force an update to 1x1x2Storage if you're using that mod.
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 10 Sep, 2024 @ 9:30am
Looks like the update to 1x1x2Storage accidentally swapped the textures, and if you have this mod active at the same time it swaps them back. The workaround then is to disable this mod if you are using 1x1x2Storage, until that mod updates (you will see when this happens because the textures will swap back).

I'm also having issues getting this to work after the update. I've unsubscribed and resubscribed, validated the game files, and rearranged the mod list, and nothing seemed to work.
That being said, it seems that it's only the textures in the storages that aren't swapping. When the beavers are caring the items they are swapped.

After some testing it seems the issue is being caused by the 1x1x2Storage mod,(at least for me.) It worked fine before the update, but now seems it doesn't.

I just tested and it is still working, without any update needed to the mod.

hey your mod are not working with new Update of 5 september.
hope you can fix it with the script.

Thank you. I hope they incorporate this into the game. Peoples city slicker be showing, not knowing what a fresh cut piece a lumber looks like.
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 6 Aug, 2024 @ 9:47pm
No, the buildings are painted.
CowabungaDude85 6 Aug, 2024 @ 5:32pm
Wouldn't you have to change all the color of wood to the buildings too? It would be redundant with this color change for the wood this mod changes. Although I do agree with the color change is a great idea but it would have to be implied to the buildings too. Great mod btw. Thanks for your idea.

I like this change. Thank you.
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 6:33am
The pale plank texture is the colour of freshly-sawn wood, there's no reason to assume it's discoloured from age while in stockpiles, as metal blocks do not rust in storage (or when used in buildings).
The wood workshop appearance and description implies a pressure treatment (for which you'd use creosote obtained by pyrolysis of wood rather than raw pine resin, but it's close enough), which produces lumber that is considerably darker than untreated wood.
Stone Cold Jane Austen  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 6:18am
Actually you're wrong
Vas 23 Jul, 2024 @ 4:36am
Actually I think the textures make sense. Its not a staining, its treatment. The planks are scraped clean of their impurities and then infused with pine resin which makes them resistant to weather. The dark planks are dark because they change colors over time due to exposure to the elements.
