Thank you for working on this! Hopefully the devs will eventually realize their mistake and add pipette to the main branch, and you won't have to squish bugs anymore.

Editor Crash should be fixed now. I'm sadly working through a burn-out and working on mods at least takes a lot of energy. Hope it works now, enjoy!

Seems to be working so far in U7 when you're playing the game as opposed to using the map editor. I'll report if I run into any issues with it, but none so far.

Mod crashes when trying to load the map editor. Looks like it's pulling in the crop planter as a dependency, which isn't available in the editor. Quick(?) fix would be to just disable pipette in the editor.

BinditoException: BottomBarPanel isn't instantiable due to missing dependency: PlantingModeService. Dependency chain: BottomBarPanel => IEnumerable<BottomBarModule> => PipetteToolButton => PipetteTool => PlantingModeService.

This mod is totally indispensable and absolutely in my top 5 for Timberborn. Thank you for it.

Something's happened on the experimental branch to make it a bit less useful though.

Previously when the pipette tool was selected, all the grey to-be-built items remained in view. Now, since maybe 5 days, the pipette makes them disappear until something's been copied.

Was this something caused by the game being tweaked? Is there any chance we could get it to include them again. Thank you if you can; no sweat if not!

Now depends on the mod "Mod settings". If launched without dependency crashes on launch. (better error message would be ideal). quick fix: Unsubscribe and resubscribe to ALL dependencies

Yea, everything should work nicely out of the box now. Sorry for the inconvience, hope everyone can find a nice mode (or just use the old one but improved) which they really like!

Oh, I noticed the mod is at 3.0.0 while the modio version is 3.0.1. Steam workshop is just being dumb and not updating it, derp.

3.0.1 fixes the crash. Thank you so much for this necessary QOL mod!

Sorry about that, I have just updated it again. It was a small detail I forgot that made it not work with TimberAPI. I have removed the convo here in the comments, but the issue is fixed.

I have just updated Pipette Tool with new features. All modes as they now are:

- Hold Mode: Hold the Pipette Tool Keybind button and use the Mouse Selection button to start pipetting.
- Press Mode: Pipette Tool is activated after the Pipette Tool Keybind is pressed and released.
- Direct Mode (Key Bind): This setting allows for direct pipetting without having to click. Using the key bind above it will directly switch to the relevant building (Factorio player approved).
- Direct Mode (Middle Mouse Button): This setting allows for direct pipetting without having to use the Key bind. Using the Middle Mouse Button will directly switch to the relevant building (Minecraft player approved).
- Inverted Mode: When a building is selected, press the Pipette Tool Key Bind to switch the relevant object. (As requested by SqL ツ below)

And some fixes related to building and planting mode. Please try it out and lemme know if something doesn't work as intended or would like to see added or changed!

Would it be possible to maybe make it reversed to how it works now? Instead of having ctrl pressed and then clicking the building, have it so first you click the building and when to press ctrl (or w/e key) it copies it?

For anyone reading this, if the CTRL shortcut doesn't work anymore, that is because the game has a new action which is also on CTRL which overwrites this mods shortcut. Change it in the settings and it should work fine!

It was causing a crash. I looked at the error log and saw:
ileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly '0Harmony, Version=2.3.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies.

I enabled the Harmony mod and it's not crashing.

I just checked the shortcut, which does work. I just noted that you might be refering to the button? Which might be broken yea. But the shortcut is more usefull anyways.

Oh, I got notified that I forgot to temporarly remove it in the package. It is currently not required, as TAPI is not yet updated, but TAPI adds a better bottombar, which is required for mroe heavy mod users. Therefore I add it as a requirement, but as most mods, including TAPI, still need updating, I have removed it for now. Will update the package to remove the warning, but it will work without!

Question about the U7 experimental update that just got pushed on the workshop for this mod (I like this mod and your others btw, thanks): is the TimberAPI requirement still Needed? If yes, is there a way to make it work right now since TAPI hasn't been updated U7Exp yet or we just need to be patient and wait for TAPI to update?

Not a particular big bug, but if you pipette a tree/crop to rapidly designate more planting areas, the new area ghost images of the trees/crops will remain after you deselect the tool, unlike if dont normally.

Can be fixed by going to either of the two menus (tree/crop type menus) and existing it, as it seems to force the ghosts to turn on and then off again.

Aplogize ... I realized that the actual crash was casued by the mod dependency TimberAPI... I had to unsubscribe that, restart the game, re-subscribe ... and now it works.

Is there an option to remove the button from the bar ? I play with the interface on 130% and because of the extra button the bar now obscures the history on the left side.

Playing Factorio resulted in permanent brain alterations and I felt significant physical and emotional discomfort when the game ignored my endless and mindless attempts to pipette. You saved me, I'm forever grateful

Just to let you know, default mod sorting seems to put Pipette above its dependency TimberAPI. You might want to put it as a sorting requirement as well.

This mod has never used Q by default. If you did, then you changed it in the settings. The base game allows to nicely add custom keybinds, which pipette also uses. You can find it at the bottom.
