that's exactly what people have been doing and so have I

i used this documentation https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/L4D2_Custom_Sound_and_Music_Tutorial and a program called audacity to make simple sound replacers, as far as scripting goes i still haven't figured it out, but as a rule of thumb

the original file and the new custom file must be the exact same length (unless you want to use new sound.cache)

it is recommended that you use sample rate 44100hz or close EXCEPT for mp5 where you must use 22050

use stereo sound if possible, if all you have is a mono track copypaste and combine it

that's pretty much the way i pump out soundmods

btw, off topic question, you know how sounds work in l4d2's engine right? like you gotta make it the same length as the default ones in order to work without any unwanted issues?

i understand, have an award and a good day

I just simply don't wanna spam workshop items in my workshop list, if you know what to do and want to use your own sounds then I think it only takes a few mins of your life to make it fit your likes, I was there as well, before becoming a modder I used to spend hrs to download mods from workshop and edit them with my own fav sounds. I don't mean to call you lazy or anything, please just understand that I don't want to make separated version of my mods, I don't want my workshop list to look weird, like how that Dusty dude did to his own, 3 Lee Enfield mods with 2 separated sound mods, it used to took my brain sometimes to figure out which one I needed since all of them used almost the same thumbnail, I don't know if there will be someone having the same issue as me but that's my negative point for it. Btw just a remind about the giving awards, I really don't mean to force people to give it, it's just if they want to support me or no

i know how to do it, just use gfscape and replace the sound you used with mine, ye ye i've been through this before, however, i think it helps you more in terms of numbers to make a separate one without sound so i can give it an award or something, i can do with any of those 2 but i'd rather be subbed to your own work. if you're too 'busy' to copypaste remove sound and publish then i'll take on your suggestion

How about you remove the sounds from the mod by yourself and use the mod for your own only? It ain’t hard, just search google
Manimerken 8 Sep, 2024 @ 9:53pm
nice one, could you make one without sound?

May l ask if you can create a mod to replace the AWQ with with a Mauser G98 rifle?

I ain't sure, but I can say I'm gonna make a M40 for scout slot, then continue porting models from Military Conflict Vietnam into this game, that M21 and M1D Garand look beautiful

I’m curious to see what other legacy gun mods you will be making as that is a big thing I enjoy about your mods. Bonus points to you from me, as you have done mods of lesser known or not as often seen in video games for guns.
