Just to confirm my understanding,
If I want a specific item to go to a certain destination table. I need to go into the Excel file, modify the type, save and then it should filter accordingly right? For example, for the food container to go into food instead of container, I need to just change the type to replace "container"?
I don't know if I am missing something but everything I save the change, it seems to revert back to the original after starting the game (at least when modifying the Excel with all the items file)
Any guidance would be appreciated,

If you want some help to get started, you can @ me on the Discord server. But give it a go first if you don't mind. If something gets messed up, you can just delete the config file and the default one will be created next time the game is launched.
turrets robots melee weapons and weapon container in cargo 7
all ranged weapons in cargo 6
all ammo and grenades in cargo 5
all armor and clothing containers vests backpacks in cargo 4
all medical/implants/contracts in cargo 3
all food/ food containers / alcohol in cargo 2
and the rest in cargo 1
would it be hard for me to change this mod in such a way (im a total noob at this) or is this pretty easy to acomplish ?
The incompatible mods will have an Important section at the top.
So if you ever have a person report a "black screen" on start up, that might be a reason.
Unfortunately, any mod that adds items to the game will generally be unsafe to remove from a save.

There will be multiple slot_<number>.* files per save. The saves start at zero.

Any of my mods that require a beta version will have the same mod name, but a "BETA ONLY" suffix and BETA white and red icon.
Wanted to check in and see how the research for the beta is going and if there's a rough ETA for your mods being updated? Not trying to rush you, just excited for the augmentation that is offered in the beta, and find your mods invaluable to playthroughs.
And thanks for your work on the mods.
Definitely feels like this feature was intended when they added the AutoDissassembly ship upgrade.
Fantastic mod, really reduced the tedium of cargo management. E feature the game begs to be vanilla. Great work.

The remaining item is updating the default rules to work like the previous version.
for example, the 0.8.5 update has robots in the same category as turrets.
I expect to update Steam tomorrow.
Sorry to sound inpatient but do you have an ETA?
My mods will be updated to support 0.8.5.
In the meantime, there is a temporary version which does work with .8.5. However, the user must delete their config and manually copy over the files.
