I know it is but I'll never unsee the shoulder rocket turret.
I'll never unsee the rocket turret on the shoulder.
It is disarmed but if it could, it would turn it's owner's enemies into mush.
bind h "+drop; +duck"
this is how you do it ^
I don't really recommend to use it for this addon, because it might make using it slower. Espically when binding is unnecessary now, because you can switch between jump types.
Now you can choose between 3 types of long jumping
1. Only bind
2. Double jump(with this you can even do a double long jump. It's a bug, but it's fun and I don't want to fix it)
3. Charged jump(hold jump + crouch keys, while standing on the ground. Works kinds similiar to Tau Cannon: hold this for too long and it will start to damage you and then explode. After each 0.2 seconds jump strenght multiplies a bit, start multiplier - x0.5, max multiplier before exploding - x9.8)
You did a good job in terms of functionality, but I feel that there could be other ways of using the Rebel Jump Harness other than a separate bind that potentially can clutter the keyboard.
I was possibly thinking of being able to simply use the jump button to engage the Long Jump Module simply by pressing jump while you're already in the air like how Battlefront 2 Pandemic handles its Jetpacks and Jump packs.
I was also thinking of something like Prototype that the player can "charge" their Jump.
If they simply press the jump button, they just jump, but hold down the button and release it and that engages the long jump. Possibly add an audio cue to let the player know the charge is done. (I was thinking of manageable charge time with default being something like half a second or a second.)
The HEV Long Jump Module seemed to be good at covering long horizontal distances.
This one... Verticality and versatility is more it's specialty.
You should bind the key to jump. Read description.
We don't even have the Long Fall Boots from Portal 2, and EZ2 beat to it lmao
Though this is a goddamn must-have essential, would it be alright to add a couple commands for the future?
Stuff like having two commands for the sounds like the Fall Impact Effect and the Footsteps,
and one for enabling and disabling the Harness?
I know it's stupid to basically remove the cool part of the addon, but le extra 2+ fps lol
But overall, this is unironically, and with no exaggeration; an absolute must-have essential addon
Light file size and no requirements (as to my knowledge)
