I did a scan through the files for ouchNoises, which is how the sounds are listed in the species files, and it returned no results. So I think whatever causes the sfx to play is something we cannot alter

No idea, I avoid FU so I don't really know much about what all it changes. I can check the files and see if I can determine what all triggers the ouch sound effect to happen.

I wonder if it's possible to remove only "small ouchies"? I.e. when the character is hit by less than 5%-10% of the total current health. Because "ouch" is kinda important to "telegraph" damage taken. But getting stuck for 30 seconds in a constant loop when the character gets hit by "1" because tasted a raw chicken and health immediately regenerates back is really annoying... and makes one miss "ouch" for the actual meaningful damage taken.

Also, is it FU compatible?
